"Le Firm's self-released debut Flugsport EP announces the arrival of this Brooklyn band. With great guitars, vocals, and synth sounds backed up with a fine recording, Le Firm create new, classic power-pop, a la Big Star and Matthew Sweet.
The buzzing, reverb-driven guitars and quick, tight rhythms of 'Your Unknown' and the anthem 'Bastille Day' draw comparisons to Interpol and The Stills. 'Catching Up With Something Gone' has a Barenaked Ladies feel to the vocal melody. This is coupled with some more cool, analog sounding synths to give Le Firm their own sweet sound. David Pohl's voice brings memories of Tim Scanlin of Actionslacks in the post-punk ballad 'Prove Your Big Heart'.
David Pohl and Muzy Huq have quite complimentary sounding voices, similar to John Auer and Ken Stringfellow of The Posies. This is most noticeable as Le Firm's Flugsport EP closes with its best Frosting On The Beater impression with a killer, driving rock song, called 'Technology.' Fans of good power-pop will certainly enjoy this EP, as I did, and take an interest in what Le Firm's future entails. "Oh, I've seen something coming," sing Pohl and Huq on 'Bastille Day'. I've seen it too, the coming of a great rock n' roll band called Le Firm."

"Listen Here: Le Firm"
"I'm always digging for new music to feed the hunger in my insatiable ears, and drown out the voices in my head. Le Firm fits the bill. Tight sound, jangly guitars, a great lead vocalist and total bonus points for a very fuzzed out and warm, overdriven tube amp sound to the bass guitar that, frankly, just makes me go all squiggly inside.
"Mike at FreeIndie.com writes, 'Le Firm, a new four piece from Brooklyn, has created a strong buzz in a short amount of time. Their self-released EP, Flugsport, shows off their range by mixing uplifting pop rock songs with thoughtful, slower tunes. With solid song-writing and strong recordings, this band has the potential to be one of the larger indie acts of 2007.'
"The best part? Totally free 5 song download available at FreeIndie.com. If you're in the New York area, catch them at The Annex on November 29th."

"It's November in Cleveland and that can only mean one thing: the onset of the grey season. Today's a rather grey day, and, as usual there will be plenty more grey days in our future until next Spring.
"Going through my tunes this afternoon, I came across this track by Le Firm, "Catching Up With Something Gone." I gave it a couple spins, looked out the window of the Solon Caribou Coffee, and said, "This song is today." The hushed accoustic guitar played in a loop, the sparse beats, and the intermitent sad, sad horns, all say, grey day, as they convey that inevitable fall feeling that our better days are behind us."

"We get sent a lot of great music here but sometimes we stumble across a band that has something very special going for it. Le Firm is such a band and if they are not selling out clubs and causing a major label battle in the next few years i will be very surprised. Le Firm's debut EP, Flugsport, is one of the tightest and most refreshing CD's i have heard all year. I am pimping this one big time, baby, check it out."
