New Material - New Album - New Noise maker

Hey Magma Peoples

There's been a lot going on in the Magma camp over the last year. After recording Canadian Samurai, we felt that it needed more, considering it was to be our first vinyl release. It was a little rushed, due to our inconvienient studio location, and crazy schedule, we would go weeks without getting together... it just wasn't working anymore.

So, we changed that. We moved to an easier to get to location, and started digging thru the new material, to figure out what needed some spice, and what could be put to bed, and of course what would be kept.

In moving to a new location, Tom had issues getting there so he had to bow out. It was an amazing 10 year run, and we had a lot of laughs along the way, and we will remain close friends for many years to come. We'll have him floating around from time to time to contribute to future projects if the timing is right

That being said, we have recruited Mario Lunardo to bang on things with sticks, and have continued to write and get the album ready. It was a very easy transition and we're ready to go.

Starting tonight, we touch up a few spots, then promptly start pre-production of what will be "Canadian Samurai II" We will be recording in November, and will have the album finished in 2011.

We are very excited to have this finished, and we can't wait to get it into your hands.

Cheers
