Well, I have finally finished posting all the videos from the Grateful Dog II show. I hope you all enjoy them. We have been getting a lot of views since I started so keep on watching! Looking forward to playing Oskar's in Cheraw this Friday so if you are in town, come by and checkout the Kings of Second Street on our home turf, you never know what might happen at an Oskars show.
Great Practice yesterday. We added a couple of new cover songs. She Caught the Katy, and How Long. We have also have completed three originals, Sally Sinner, Cap'n Moses, and Dandy. Our next gig will be May 10 at the Battle of the Bands in Pageland. Come on out and support local music, cheer us on, and have a great time.
We spent yesterday at the Doghouse, eating, drinking, and hanging out with Mary. We are proud to announce that we have been producing some very interesting original music, and should hopefully have it ready for your listening pleasure sometime within the next month or two. We would like to encourage everyone to come to Pageland High School Football stadium this May 10th and cheer on the Kings as they battle for glory in the First Annual Battle of the Bands, also catch us at Oskar's Restaurant in Cheraw for the Memorial Day Weekend Jam.
We just wanted to thank everyone for coming out to Oskar's for the show last night. I would have to say it was one of the best shows we have done there. We had a great crowd that was very enthusiastic, despite the chilly weather. Thank you to everyone who helped out! We are looking forward to seeing you all again very soon, and by the way, come support us at the Battle of the Bands, May 10, at the Pageland High School Stadium.
The Battle of the Bands to be held in Pageland this Friday the 5th of April has been postponed until May the 10th due to inclement weather. Catch us at Oskar's on second street in Cheraw this Saturday April 6th.
Hello all! Just wanted to let you know, and invite you to come to the first annual battle of the bands, to be held Friday, April 5th at the Pageland High School footbal stadium. Two bands will be representing Cheraw, Serendipity, and yours truly. Event starts at 6 pm. We hope you can come out and support your homies, but if not, be sure to catch both bands the following evening, Saturday the 6th, at Oskars restaurant on 2nd street in downtown Cheraw as part of the Springfest celebration there. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Just wanted to thank Ben Childress for capturing our last performance on good quality digital! We have the entire show, and there's some pretty good stuff. Keep your eyes and ears open the next couple of weeks as we will be posting some for your perusal. We are looking for a place to play New Years Eve!
November 30 will mark the first ever DHK acoustic show. As many of you know, we are on the search for a permanent drummer. So if you hear of one, shoot us an email ;) , but we could not resist the chance to get together and work up a great acoustic show for you guys. You can expect us to be playing some acoustic versions of your favorite rock and blues songs, but in addition we will be playing a few tunes from the golden age of the Piedmont blues. Former Funky Peanut Butter Jam founder Collin Hatcher will be on hand to lay down some funky beats on the cajon, and if you don't know what that is you need to come see it. It's bound to be quite an interesting show, as well as a welcome home party for our buddy C.H. Hope to see you there!
Wow! Still pumped! I believe the Halloween show at Oskars was the best show we have played to date. What a ball (and biscuit?) There was a great crowd all night long, lots of cool costumes, smoke, lights, Big Willie's stimulus package, Double D's phantasmagorical bass solo, great food, over three hours of music and an awesome outdoor setting! Just wanted to thank everyone for coming out! Keep an ear open,we will be back on second street at the end of November! See you then!
Ah! It's Sturday again! time to get back in the Doghouse and start working on our show for The Oskar's Halloween party. If you have never been, you should go this year. I guarantee a good time! Plus we have been working very hard on some new tunes to share with all the ghouls and goblins. Hope to see you all there!
