WCNI radio from Connecticut College will be playing tracks from Dust & Bone's "Good Heart" CD on their Twisted Roots program Saturday from 6am to 9am. If you're in the area, you can hear the broadcast on WCNI or if your not in Connecticut, you can find WCNI on iHeart radio.
2013 was an awesome year for Dust & Bone. February through March we were busy finishing the recording of tracks for our first CD “Good Heart”. Most of April was spent doing the final mix and master, creating the artwork for the album and getting the CD replicated.
During this time we played a gig at Starry Nites on March 28 and at Boulder Park Ave on April 19.
Then on May 17 we had our CD release party at Boulder Coffee South Wedge. We were so happy to have all of our friends come out to see us and pick up copies of the Album.
On June 9 we were honored to play a benefit concert for the Patterson Grandchildren with the All Terrain Blues Band and Open G at the California Brew Haus.
July 12 we were at Abilene. We had a great time at this gig especially during our last set when a wedding party came in for some post reception fun.
On August 9 Mike, Stewart and Bill played an unplugged gig on the sidewalk outside of Starry Nites. It was exciting playing our tunes with acoustic instruments. Bill and Stew even played a mini set of NativSun tunes.
September 13 found the band at Jeremiah’s Tavern playing to a full house. We made several new fans at this gig that came to see us a many of our gigs through the end of the year.
The following night we had the opportunity to open for area favorite 5 Head at Lovin’ Cup. This was a blast. Frank De Blase was at Lovin’ Cup that night and liked us well enough to write us up in the next issue of City Newspaper (Thanks Frank).
Then, October 12 we played at the Scotland Yard Pub. Many of our fans came out to see us that night and enjoy the awesome food. The staff at Scotland Yard was great and we can’t wait to get back there to play.
Our final gig of 2013 before taking the Holidays off was a return gig at Abilene on November 15. Once again the staff and crowd was great. We plan to be back there early in 2014.
Thanks to all the clubs and our fans for a great 2013. We’ll be playing at the Beale in Webster on January 17 and Scotland Yard Pub on January 25. Hope to see you at one of these gigs and others throughout 2014.

We have completed the mixing and mastering of all the tracks that will be on our debut CD. Four of the tracks are available for streaming at our Reverbnation site.
We are finalizing the art work for the CD package now and expect to have the CD released by mid May (CInco de Mayo!)
Take a listen to the tracks on the site and let us know if you'd like us to reserve you a copy of the CD.
After a Holiday break, we've started doing the final mixes for the CD. The first 4 tunes we've mixed are uploaded to this site.
We've been working hard getting the CD done. We have 10 songs in the can and are now starting the mixing/mastering phase. Once that's done, we'll be sending the tracks to the replicating house and if all goes well we'll be releasing the CD in early February.
In other news, we'll be playing the open mic at Lovin' Cup in Henrietta this Tuesday. This is the unofficial audition to get a gig there. So, please come out and support us.
Ross and Stew went into studio last night (with Bill engineering) to lay down guitar tracks for "Soaking Up The Setting Sun" and "When She Takes Her Rest". An additional invisible musician (we'll call him Bob) showed up unexpectedly to play Concertina on When She Takes Her Rest (ask one of the guys about this). So far, things are moving along quite well with the project. At this pace, we are on track to have the CD released by the end of the year. Stay tuned...
We now have basic tracks for Soaking Up The Setting Sun Americana Blues When She Takes Her Rest Thinking About a Time recorded.
Next Tuesday Ross and Stew will start adding guitar tracks to these.
Also, new pics from the recording session have been uploaded.
