America’s Favorite Gospel Trio VOG Wins Diamond Award
No stranger to winning fans and accolades, NBC-TV’s America’s Got Talent finalists Voices Of Glory has won the SGN Scoops 2011 Diamond Award for favorite new artist: the Sunrise Award, announced Southern Gospel News.
“We are so thankful for this award,” said Michael Cole, II of VOG. “It amazes me that we were nominated for three awards, and that we won the Sunrise Award is such a compliment from our fans,” Cole said about VOG additional nominations for Favorite Trio and Favorite Song for “Father Who Cares,” in the fan-based competition.
“We give all honor to God,” said VOG Nadia Cole. “He has blessed our family in so many ways. We are grateful for His favor, and to our fans for their continued support of our music,” she said.
“Ministry comes first in our mission to heal others with VOG music,” said Avery Cole of Voices Of Glory, “Initially when we started singing, it was to heal our mother and now we’re able to help others,” Avery Cole said referring to the July 2005 accident of the group’s mother Felicia Cole who, before reawakening, was in an 8-month coma after collision with a drunk driver. VOG father Michael Cole suggested the children sing at their mother’s bedside that she may hear and be healed.
Their eponymous CD showcases the talents of Cole family siblings – Michael, 19 Avery 15, and Nadia, 11 – as they impact the music industry and fellowship with purpose.
“Southern Gospel fans are particular about their music. Competition was fierce,” said group manager Gerard Cole. “Fans spoke loud and clear when they picked VOG as their favorite rising artist, and considered VOG among other amazing artists like Jason Crabb, Gaither Vocal Band, the Booth Brothers, and Driven Quartet.
“These young people are serious about their ministry. They sing from their heart to heal and inspire others,” Cole said. “We are deeply thankful to SGN and VOG supporters for this honor and any opportunity it may bring for Voices Of Glory Global Ministries to do even more good work through music.”
VOG has also launched Voices Of Glory Global Ministries to raise awareness of children’s and global issues and create opportunities for better nutrition, shelter, safety, education, spiritual edification, and a greener environment. The group next plans to conduct a ministry trip to Tanzania. For more information or to donate, visit: http://voicesofgloryglobalministries.org/ or http://voicesofglory2020.tatemusicgroup.net/.
