11/4/13

I had a pretty good weekend. I didn't play anywhere this weekend just worked and hung out with friends on Folly & JI. I'm on day six of no coffee/caffeine & so far so good. I'm back to the work grind today & likely heading to King Dusko tonight for the writer's night.

Cheers

A day in the life 11/1/13

So it's been four days now since I've had any coffee. I'm pretty amazed at my restraint these last few days. I had some headaches on Tues that were quickly remedied with a few beers. I've picked up a few shows. 11/14 at Chico Feo's on Folly with Aiden Malecky and 12/29 with Sierra Ferrell at the Empty Glass in Charleston, WV while I'm home for the holidays. All & all life is pretty good. I wrote a new song the other day that was pure junk and I filed it in my circular filing cabinet.

I'm going to try and get a little more active on this. Maybe keep a journal of sorts...Last night I went to the writer's night at King Dusko. They've been getting a lot of talented writer's coming by there lately and it's usually a cool vibe down there. I played my songs...outskirts of Birmingham, my new song it hurts a whole lot more, rollercoaster, & Boss Man. I picked up a couple gigs while I was there too which is pretty cool. 12/29 at the empty glass in Charleston, WV while I'm home for the holidays and also 3/27 at Home Team in West Ashley. I also played on Sunday afternoon on Goldbug island for a meals on wheels benefit show. Everyone was super cool out there. I was accompanied by Ms. Aiden Malecky and we played a mixture of her songs & mine. Afterwards I went out to Sullivans for a bit and wondered around. I hadn't been out there since 2008 & I'm a Poe fan so it was very cool to spend some time out there....that's about it for now. Meeting up with a friend later to work on picking up more shows in 2014. Peace
