05-17-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Any Day”
05-17-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Any Day” Did you know that although it’s May 17 and for most people just another normal day…however to someone out there it’s the greatest day ever!...wishing everyone has those greatest days ever of their own…and a wonderful safe weekend…plain and simple.
05-16-13-My Morning Thoughts: Help!!!!!
05-16-13-My Morning Thoughts: Help!!!!! There comes a time in everyman’s life when…Damn, I lost my train of thought!!!!!...help me out!!!!!...plain and simple.
05-15-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Mistakes”
05-15-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Mistakes” Do you think more people remember achievements or disappointments? It’s funny cause, as I’m thinking about it, I remember many disappointments that became achievements somehow. I was always told that we learn by our mistakes…it must be true!...plain and simple.
05-14-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Sublime-able”
05-14-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Sublime-able” I was just wondering this fine morning what the country would be like if the government just fixed roads and protected us and the rest was left up to the states? Wow, someone must have played Rush Limbaugh through my headphones last night while I was sleeping…darn kids…plain and simple.
05-13-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Games”
05-13-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Games” If you’re playing these video games today and you’re over the age of 30 are you considered a legend or an old fart? I mean we had some digital games way back like “pong” “space invaders” “asteroids” but I mean since the game craze became…welllll…crazy! You know those who started playing these games in college 10 or 15 years ago are now prehistoric to the kids playing them today. They probably hear things like “man your pretty cool for an older dude” playing Halo or Halo 27 or whatever…man…I thought I was cool when I still played flag football at 40!...plain and simple.
05-10-13-My Morning Thoughts: CD Review:
“ Larry Insana "Endless Road" This singer-songwriter has been kicking around the local scene for years, opening for acts such as Styx, Ted Nugent and REO Speedwagon. Those classic rock connections notwithstanding, Insana's new album, which local power-pop guy Scott Hanson produced, is a real mellow affair. Opening "Nick of Time" sounds a bit like something Willie Nelson might have penned and "'Til the World Slows Down" is as melancholy as its title. The up-tempo "Blues by Bedpost" benefits from some wailing harmonica and Insana's baritone evokes that of Johnny Cash a bit on the novelty tune "Hot Peppers." The party-hearty tune "The 5th Day" verges on Jimmy Buffett territory, but on the whole this album shows off Insana's terrific songwriting abilities. Recorded in both Cleveland and Miami, Florida, the album sounds great, too, as its production quality is first rate” — Jeff Niesel, Scene Magazine
05-09-13-My Morning Thoughts: “GOLF”
05-09-13-My Morning Thoughts: “GOLF” I’m not sure you know this but I like to play a little golf…my game is not great but it’s not that bad either, usually. It’s kind of a weird game because it’s basically all up to you…no teammates, coaches, referees and for most of us that play…no fans. So basically if you play well it’s your fault and of course if you play bad, consequently, it’s your fault too…There’s no one to blame but yourself. What a crazy idea! Can you imagine Mr. Golf inventor going up to his friends saying I have this great invention for a new sport and I’m going to call it golf! You know “flog” backwards…well how do ya play?...Well, you take one of these club thingies with this blade thingy on the end and hit a very little ball walk up to the ball and hit it again and again until you hit it into a hole…well, why would anyone want to do that?...AND THAT’S THE QUESTION I ASK MYSELF EVERYTIME I TRY AND PLAY!...plain and simple.
05-08-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Easy Street”
05-08-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Easy Street” Anybody know where this “Easy Street” is? I would very much like to move there!...I’ve spent a great deal of this life on “Hard Street” and I think I’m ready to relocate…please send directions….plain and simple.
05-07-13-My Morning Thoughts: “My Hobo Song”
05-07-13-My Morning Thoughts: “My Hobo Song” “Got nothing against policemen, got nothing against firemen, never saw myself in an office, cause I like working with my hands…just give me a stick with my bindle on the back hopping the trains ya that’s where it’s at…a Hobo…I just want to be a Hobo…town to town like a millionaire, without the money, don’t even care, cause I got the world right over my shoulder and I feel like part of the land… just give me a stick with my bindle on the back hopping the trains ya that’s where it’s at…a Hobo…I just want to be a Hobo…some might call it a hanky and some might say bandana but the true name is bindle and it holds my world wherever I may roam…don’t call me a tramp cause I’m a working man and never say bum cause I move all I can, you might say vagabond…but I like Hobo… just give me a stick with my bindle on the back hopping the trains ya man that’s where it’s at…a Hobo…I just want to be a Hobo”…plain and simple.
05-06-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Sin Tax”
05-06-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Sin Tax” I heard cigarettes and alcohol are going to be taxed “again” on a federal sin tax plan…I’m totally against the sin tax’s and probably always will be I imagine. I just can never figure out why one group of people get singled out and pay more when the tax money is used by all? Wouldn’t it make more sense to tax something everyone uses…like…say…”toilet paper”…plain and simple.
