10-25-13-My Morning Thoughts: How do you think the president’s we’ve had in our lifetime will be remembered by the generations that come after? Do you think it will be their policies or their character or could they be remembered by specific situations that may have defined their presidency for them?...history can be just as harsh as it can be pleasant and history can also take a long time to get it right…if ya know what I mean…it is a crazy job though, because no matter what you do as president…there’s always the other side’s opinion and there always will be…enjoy the weekend…plain and simple.
10-24-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Experience” Every day is an experience and with each day of experience we become more proficient by understanding our strengths and weaknesses…and whilst understanding…we gain wisdom…and on that note my wisdom tells me I have to get to work so I can pay for all the material things that I didn’t really need in the first place…crazy isn’t it…plain and simple.
10-23-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Imagine” “All we are saying is give peace a chance”…”reach out and touch somebody’s hand”…”you are so beautiful to me”…”let’s get together and it will be all right”…”heart of gold”…”summer breeze”…”Imagine”…maybe we need more songs like this again to put this weary world back on the right track…plain and simple.
10-22-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Good Feelings” I have a distinct feeling that something great is going to happen today. I don’t know what it is but it just feels good this early morning….hope this feeling passes on to each and every one of you…have a great day all…plain and simple.
10-21-13-My Morning Thoughts: “LUNCH TIME” Is it lunch time yet…remember when lunch was a blast…slamming down your lunch as fast as humanely possible so you could get out in the school yard to play with your friends…wouldn’t it be nice if we took that approach as adults during our lunch break? Could you imagine your office going outside and playing 4 square to blow off some steam…Or maybe the road construction crews pulling out an old football for a quick game of street ball…or the fast food personnel grabbing a fast game of tag in the parking lot…it may sound a little crazy but even as I’m writing this I have high expectations for lunch today…only 4 or 5 hours till lunch!...have a great Monday all…plain and simple.
10-18-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Being Old” You know I don’t want to be old! I don’t mind getting older or the age thing never really bothered me but the being old thing that kind-a gets to me. Not being able to do the things you’ve done all your life is going to suck quite frankly…and the way I rolled-out-of-bed this morning like it was the first time I ever got up in my life really put it into perspective! How do things continually hurt in the morning for no apparent reason when I know I didn’t do anything but sleep last night! Why do my knees crack all the way down the steps? How come my eyes aren’t completely focused until my second or third cup of coffee? Why is it so hard to put my sox on now!!!!...well, the one good thing about the morning is that…first, it is another morning…and second…something is always going through my mind when I sit down at this computer…plain and simple.
10-17-13-My Morning Thoughts: by Larry Insana an apolitical folk singer that spells very poorly. Truth or Dare? 1) Am I really an apolitical folk singer?...answer…NO, I also like rock, country, blues, jazz, bluegrass, reggae and a host of others. 2) Do I really spell that bad?...answer…yes, I absolutely suck at spelling however, I must admit, all this practice on “My Morning Thoughts” has improved my spelling greatly…And I have to say that…you CAN… teach an old dog new tricks…I’m living proof! 3) Are these really my morning thoughts…answer…yes, whatever comes to mind I let it out. Sometime I get ideas from the news or an old show or from topics stated on the internet although the morning thoughts that I’m most partial to are the ones that come from the memory banks that have strolled out of life’s journey…plain and simple.
10-16-13-My Morning Thoughts: The Student Loan Bubble Buster! $52 Billion in student loans have defaulted in the first half of this year! ok check this out, there’s about 39 million student borrowers at this time which adds up to $1 trillion of federal student loan debt…each student loan averages to about $26,000 of debt…this amount has soared upwards of 43% since 2003!...what do you think will happen when more and more students continue to graduate or drop out without the hopes and/or means to pay this back? If-a-you-a-don’t-a-have-a-job-a-how-a-you-a-going-a-to-a-pay-a-this-a-back-a??????...you think the housing crash was bad wait till you see this one…weather your for higher education or not you must see that a plan needs to be put in place to make this affordable…I could cut the future debt in half by the end of the day…eliminate the first 2 years of college completely!!!!!! The only thing you learn your first 2 years of college is the pizza delivery number and how to dress for toga parties! Your junior and senior years is when most people start taking classes in the majors anyway!...see, future student debt defaults cut in half!...plain and simple.
10-15-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Brain Drive” Did you ever think about how much information is stored in that hard drive of our brains? Memories of childhood, teenager, adult, numbers, addresses, friends, names, birthdays, hero’s, sports, statistics, traditions, recipes, fun times, bad times, sad times, out of time…and so much more…What do you think…about 8 gigs or so I would guess unless you count all the movies we’ve seen or music listened to…you know video and music uses up way more space…anyway, my “brain drive” is moving slower everyday and I was wondering if I should install more storage and a faster processor or just upgrade my coffee strength…any ideas…plain and simple.
10-14-13-My Morning Thoughts: “Commercials” I don’t think I could sit through a TV show today without recording capabilities! I am spoiled for sure. The other day I forgot to record one of my favorite shows and had to sit through about 8 commercials…well 7 commercials and when the 8th one started I turned off the TV and…”picked up my guitar and played”!!!!!...much more relaxing anyway…plain and simple.
