A disc jockey, also known as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. Originally, "disc" (sometimes spelled "disk", although this is now uncommon) referred to phonograph records, not the later Compact Discs. Today, the term includes all forms of music playback, no matter the medium. There are different classifications of the "DJ" - 1) Scratch Battle DJ 2) Club DJ 3) Mobile or Private Party/Event DJ 4) Radio Broadcast DJ In the end - it's all about entertainment, experience, skill, and marketing. Do not knock a dude for hustling. Because this is a hustle industry and only "smart" marketing is what will get you to the top. You can scratch and cut your little heart out but how many tracks do you have under your belt? do you remix? and i mean really REMIX not throw an acapella and instrumental together which is a mashup - any chimp can do that. Wether you started yesterday or have many years of experience - if you're marketable then you will be successful. And i'll say this - the top 10 DJs for 2012 on Forbes - don't cut and scratch.... #just saying.... Salute to all the #REALDJS #MUSICPRODUCERS #REMIXERS - back to work - i have some tracks to put on BeatPort ;-) #KAPOW

2012..... Hello World!
Resolution for 2012. 2011 Started very well, but ended with a near crash and burn. 2012 will prove to be the most challenging and so far - off to a GREAT start.
My focus will be more on production/remixing and teaching and helping others. I'm thankful that members in my team have stepped up and grabbed the bulls by the horn and are able to help run my company without my need to be there. This frees me up to focus on my career and help others along the way. I'm starting to write alot in hopes of using what i write to help and teach others.
Welcome to my reverbnation. Welcome to Izzy Rock's world! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!
