Well, the voting is officially closed and the tally is made. Unfortunately, 3*SR did not get enough votes to qualify. Could be the roll of the dice and then again it might have something to do with the link on FaceBook not working properly (which would be my fault). Either way, here is what we gained in the contest:
10 downloads delivered to new & existing fans 3 shares of our song: "What's A Girl To Do"
Thank you for participating! Winning is nice, but winning with our fans is a whole lot better. We gained 4 new fans during this contest and that means a bigger 3*SR family for us. Thank you all for supporting us and for supporting "INDY" music and musicians.
P.S. Come back soon to the FIAT USA Facebook page to see which of our fellow Reverb Nation musicians will win a national TV appearance on VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown, airing on December 14th!
Pops here, Just wanted to thank everyone again for this 1st place run we have been on. I know it can't last forever, but it's been fun. We have been in 1st place now for either 24 or 25 days. I'm not exactly sure. Hope you guys are enjoying all the extras we put on here for ya'll. Reminder, I am no longer in charge of posting shows schedules and gig dates. In the future please check here and on facebook for updates. I will tell you that we are playing at Sammy B's in Lebanon, the next 2 Saturday nights in a row. That will be the 16th & 23rd of November. They have a facebook page so you can get the details from there. At any rate keep looking for us and come see us Saturday night at Sammy B's.
For all of you wonderful people who care and wanna hear what we are doing, here are a couple of cover tunes that we particularly love to do. We may not do them like the original, but when they do one of ours they can it any way they want to. Hope you like them.
Would you just LOOK!!!! This is a first. All I can say is that 3*SR fans are the absolute best. We are either pretty good or you guys are lying. Either way, thanks to you all for making our first trip to the #1 position in the area Americana rating so exciting. This is the first time we ever made it to #1.
Once again, it was you guys!!! Thanks for your support. We can't do things like this without you and really, we wouldn't want to. This is as high in the rankings as we have ever gone. Three Simple Rules is #2. Thanks to a bunch of 3*SRo'holics.
Thanks to all of those fans out there who made it happen. 3*SR is ranked #3 on the Americana list for the area. That is as high as we have ever gone. Perhaps I should have said something days ago about this but I wanted to wait and see if it was an accident. After further review the ruling on the field stands. We are #3 and have been for 6 days now. It has to be you guys. We just finished our 4th day at Tombstone studio last Friday. We are working on a new limited release EP. There were a few songs that did not make the cut for the CD (Bindlestiff's Lament) so we are recording them for you anyway. We are getting ready for a quick trip to East Tennessee for a LIVE music & interview appearance on "Blue Plate Special" WDVX radio and then on to Sevierville, TN for a dinner show at Friendly Falls. Yeah, the National and State parks are closed up in East Tennessee, but the waterfalls are gorgeous at Friendly Falls. I gotta see this place and I hear you gotta eat there. On Saturday the 12th we are shooting a scene for an Independent film "Static"., for Wilt Video Production. We will be performing an old Irish folk song at a picnic in the scene. Later that night we will be bustin' loose at 3 Brother's on the square. Well, that's what we got going lately. Come see us when you can, cause you know we want to see your face. And thanks again for whatever it is you guys are doing. We like #3.
While we are mostly booked up at least one day every weekend, there are still some weekends that we are not booked. There are a lot of days during the week that we are not booked. Here is something new we would love to offer to everyone. How about a "House Show"? Are you having a get together? Do you want Three Simple Rules to play for you friends and family? No room too big, no room too small. With or without a PA, your choice. Give us a call and let's talk. We look forward to hearing from you. (615) 554-2201 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Last night we sat down and listened to all of the final mixed tracks and I gotta tell ya, I am liking what I'm hearing. It's time to master the whole shabang and see what we have to offer those of you who want to purchase a copy. Now, If the master (in a couple of days) turns out like we want it I will send it off immediately after listening to it. It should take about 10 days to get it back from production. I was hoping to have it ready by my birthday but that ain't gonna happen, but I am mighty sure we will see something finished by September 1st. Ya'll hold your breath, tense up, and get ready. You've never heard 3*SR sound like this.
First of all, everyone remember The Celtic Cup tonight at 7:00PM. We haven't played there in a while and we are looking forward to it greatly. Now, we finished up mixing the first 5 songs for the CD last night. Now for the second set of 5. Mastering will be rather quick. We are making great progress. Stay tuned in for a release date.
Today Justin and I went into the studio with our finished edited tracks and started the mix-down process. I had no idea it was going to be so tee'jus. If I here the un-mastered version of What's A Girl To Do one more time I'm going to sh&^ bricks. At any rate, I am thinking about posting some new morsels for you guys, but till I do the version of What's A Girl To Do on here now is the CD version. You guys enjoy. Let me know what you think of it.
