today i am trying to confirm which of my songs from my catolouge that i want to re-record and get released on a major scale i've got a whole lot of very valid hit potential list of songs to choose from i've been writeing songs for a very long time and i've had quite a few records out but i find it hard to please some of these producers that i have worked with in europe in america where i'm from i've worked with some big named producers and songwriters like al boyd who wrote shakey ground for the temptations bernard beloyd taylor who's wrote a lot of songs for earth wind and fire these guys are my mentors beloyd wrote getaway for earth wind and fire he's produced level 42 chaka khan afterbach james ingram played on gary bartz albums and donald byrds charictures album he's also played with earth wind and fire as one of it's group members and played with denise williams i as the roadie for the group s.o.u.l. sounds of unity and love which beloyd was a member of before earth wind and fire and also mr.larry hancock is my other mentor as well as mr.eddie levert the lead vocalist of the legendary ojay's so i've had all of these callibur of teachers to put me on the road to a successful career and then i became one of the members of the legendary original sly slick and wicked who had had three albums out before i ever became a member of the group sly slick and wicked had already been managed and produced by the legendary godfather of soul mr.james brown and they were produced and managed by the ojay's and they had albums out on polydor records paramount records and on motown records subsidiary label jupar records i recorded the only pop hit record that the group had in 1979 the record is called all i want is you it was released on epic sweet city records label c.b.s.it's been re-released by expansion records in london england on two different compilations the first one is soul togetherness 2005 and the second one is expansion records 2007 and i've also had 2 more of my records from the 80's re-released on different labels from other countrys like paris france and holland in the netherlands my 1982 release of caviar never stop loving you on survivor records originaly has been re-released on quite a few labels and compilations i am the lead vocalist on it caviar was me and the original members of harold melvin and the bluenotes john sweet t.atkins who sang harold melvin and the bluenotes classic northern soul hit get out and let me cry and mr.lawrence Lloyd brown sr.better known as larry brown who sang on all of the hit records with harold melvin and the bluenotes featuring mr.teddy pendergrass teddy was the drummer for the group until john atkins left the bluenotes i also sang lead vocals with omari and sang a live duet with ms.betty wright i sang with mr.hank ballard as one of his midnighters i've sang with the platters and still do at this present time and the drifters and still do at this present time i was on television with the drifters just yesterday on a spanish program called los mejores anos de nuestra vida in english it's called the best years of our lves you can find it on the internet and on youtube i have three records out at this present time two releases of yes we can my barack obama song and gotta be heard which is on the brand new judge jules album called bring the noise so please support my reverb nation page and all of my records peace
