Entertainment Underground Magazine Interview (April 2008)

When you think of Virginia what names come to mind, Timberland, Missy Elliot, and Magoo, now add a new name Steven Knight. One may ask who is Steven Knight, picture an artist who sings/writes and also participates in three different genres of music: Hip-Hop, R&B, Neo-Soul. Now that’s a triple threat! Steven is bringing back that old sound of R&B with his passion for music as well as his strong vocals. Atlanta, being the new music capital, has brought another artist to join the rising stars. Steven Knight is a Virginia native, now residing in Atlanta that is looking to bring soul singers back. From his musical setbacks in 2003, Steven is a determined artist to make it in this industry. With a generational gift, from his mother, a singer herself, he grew up idolizing singers such as Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, and many others. With artist of that statue, how could he loose? A soul singer that admires the sounds of artist such as Carl Thomas and Jaheim is looking to let the world know that soul singers are back and in full affect. He feels the music industry is leaning more towards pop music and catchy tunes instead of soul singers that have real issues to talk about. Steven feels that record labels don’t want to put the time, money, and effort it takes to bring artist up in the industry, so currently he is looking to be signed. With aspirations to work with artist such as Kayne West, Steven Knight understands the rise and fall to make it in this industry; he may be unsigned but look out because He’s Coming. http://www.entertainmentundergroundmag.com/FeatNext.htm

What's Good?

What’s the deal everyone? Just wanted to thank you for coming through and checking ya boy out. I’m in a transitional period in my music and personal life so bare with me as I work hard to get back on track. Those of you that you are local to Atlanta, GA may have seen me perform around the city. I appreciate all the love that I have been getting from so many people. In 2008, my goal is to take my music to the next level, vocally, lyrically and generally speaking. I have worked with a great vocal coach and I have had time to get it together and continue doing what I love to do. So be patient with me and I will have some new music for you to hear very soon. Stay tuned…
