Malala

So I was completely inspired by a fifteen year old girl from pakistan. In pakistan schools for girls are being torn apart and blown to pieces. Malala decided to take a stand. In protest, she got shot in the head by the Taliban. She got medical help and survived. Now she is back fighting for the cause again. It's insane how ungrateful some Americans are sometimes. We Aren't afraid to get out of bed like they are. They don't have the freedom we do. Malala risked her life to get something that was given to most of us. Sorry, I just had to vent. This song is going to be epic and I can't wait for you to hear it!:)

Summer

I'm still a jonior in high school, (next year ill be a senior) and i cannot wait for suimmer to start. Summer is a time when I can focus purely on the band. We can do a mini tour, i can constently be writting songs and have more band practices. Summer is the ime to step up your game. This summer we will also be doing a ton of recording! Our new cd is way better then the first and I'm excited to show the world. :) One other very exciting thing about summer is that the friday I get out of school is our big battle of the bands! If we win then we get to open for the grammy award winning band Halestorm!! That would be like a total dream. So we have a lot planned for the summer and if you readers have any ideas of something we should do during summer then let us know!! I just need to get through finals first! :0 Wish me luck! -Amanda Rain

writting a song

I love when I get inspired to write a song. I get so mad when I'm in a mind block. Once you get an idea , the whole song just flows out and it makes me soo happy!! Its the best feeling ever when you finish the song and play it for the first time. Its also crazy how a song changes with time. I will remember sitting and writting the song on my bed and then listening to the finished, recorded song. I love writting so much and everything that goes with it!333 xoxoxo love, Amanda Rain

The Photoshoot

Sunday January 15, We did one of my favorite things to do....TAKE PICTURES!!! :D On the Bright Side had a Photo shoot and it went great! We got some pictures of our new member Sal and went to some pretty cool places! Our first stop was at the studio where we got coffee cause it was freezing outside! Then we went to an abandoned bar/resteraunt, and a haunted house! We also made some quick stops along the way at places that looked really cool. We took alot of awesome pictures with my colorful wig! :) Despite the freezing weather it was a very productive and sucessful day!
