Guitars and Gear

Ive been asked this same question many times by both other musicians and fans and thought id get around to answering it in a blog finally. My first Guitar was aquired at the age of 6 yrs old, it was an old Acoustic Guitar that I had recieved for Christmas - it was almost as big as I was at the time (or at least it sure seemed that way..lol) Of course I had no idea how to play at the time, but just strumming the open strings was somehow very magical to me and I was instantly hooked at that point on the Guitar. Many years later around 1990, I aquired a White Fender Strat and customized it with Mother of Pearl pick guard and Fender Lace sensor (Blue,Gold and Red) pickups. It was an awesome playing and sounding Guitar - unfortunately lost that one when my house got broken into one day while I was away . (Yeah I was Pissed at the time..lol) I later had an old Kramer guitar with an aluminum neck and very heavy wood body (it was definately not a guitar you'd want to play an entire Gig on stage with..lol) Anyways, I installed an APH-1 Seymour Duncun Alnico Pro 2 pickup in the Neck (This was the original pickup Slash used) and a Seymour Duncun Full Shred pickup in the Bridge position. That guitar totally kicked ass as far as overall tone and sustain goes...I wish I still had it today to record with - because it sounded just killer. I ended up selling it to a Buddy of mine who later also sold it (that drove me insane-because I would have bought it back..lol) For my Album "Walking Through the Darkside" I used a Les Paul and recorded that album with basically just the Les Paul,My old Digitech GNX-4 Processor and my Roland GR-20 Guitar Synth for some backing Tracks and thats pretty much it . Everything you hear on that album is just myself and this gear. On my Track "Hear the Angels crying" -I used a panning effect which created a stereo type pan back and forth which you can plainly hear and a delay effect which gives the song its unique sound. Hendrix used Panning effects quite a bit on his albums as well (or at least his engineers did on his albums on some songs) I'm always fascinated by New gear on the market and try to keep myself updated on whats out there which intrigues me as Musicians tend to be extremely picky about getting great Tone and gear - but at a reasonable price tag as well . As far as Amps go,Ive always been partial to Marshall amps - I had a 30th Anniversary Head and 1960 B Cabinet with a 3 channel footswitch which was a great amp - but then again Marshall has manufactured so many awesome amps over the past decades that trying to choose just one...is like walking into a roomful of Gorgeous women and doing the same...lmao. As far as Pedals go, I loved the old Boss Super-Overdrive pedal - Zakk wylde originally used this pedal many years back - and I love the way it drives a Marshall....since then, many awesome pedals have hit the market, so its really a matter of preference now on what you like personally and the type/style of music you play. Anyways, I didnt mean to turn this Blog into a semi-novel here- just wanted to answer the most frequently asked question I usually get from people who hear my songs and ask what I use for gear. So there you have it !!!

"Beyond the Heavens"

My Track "Beyond the Heavens" is something I created using my imagination and my Roland Guitar Synth. I posted a sample of the Track here to have a listen. -I was always a big fan of Star Strek films (even the original Star Trek TV series) and created this little synthesized piece as sort of an homage to the Star Trek Legacy and all the Stars of the film that it made it so great ! I'll be the first to admit its not really my typical Genre - but I hate Limiting myself to any Genre when it comes to creativity of the mind. Anyways, I find its a really soothing,relaxing-almost therapuedic sound track to help relax the mind and maybe even help relieve some of your daily stress perhaps -so close your eyes, take a listen, and hope you enjoy it !

Guitarists ! ......Check out Tony's Website !!!!

Hey Just wanted to give all you Fellow Guitar Players out there a heads up about a really Great Guy who has an Excellent website where he showcases a lot of great amps and gear ! . His website is www.tonymckenzie.com and I highly recommend you check out his awesome videos. He actually examines gear inside and out and then demo's it for you . So its a highly informative website for Guitar Slingers.

Freedom of Speech being shut down by Music Industry ?

This blog is not about myself or my music , instead it is much more important - its about the freedom to express ones opinions and expose Satanism and illuminatti symbolism in the mainstream music industry -particularly in regards to subliminal messages in music videos . Jeff C who runs a you-tube channel called "Free Radio Revolution" exposes a variety of things on his channel from false flag shootings , to the said Satanic messages in music videos .

Lately he recieved a copyright infringment notice from Warner Bros records and I'll let him explain it in his words via his video : http://youtu.be/_r_Tt5u80yI

If you want to make a difference please Tweet the man who filed the notice and ask him why he is attempting to silence those who expose Satanism in the Music Industry . ...I did ! @brianpopowitz .............................................................. @brianpopowitz @FreeRadioRevolu -Brian why are you trying to silence those who expose Satanism/illuminatti symbolism in music industry.
