Have got off my arse and started to get a few ggigs recently and this looks like it will conitnue for a while. Keep a look out for upcoming shows.
Please drop me a line if you are interested in playing some shows in and about Melbourne over the next few months and wan tot get a bill together. Provided that there is not a clashing discordance created by us playing on the same bil, let's see what we can organise. Also, happy to play at reasonbly short notice if you need another act for your show in the inner city. Cheers, Ben
Live in Melbourne? If you like the sound of the above and reckon you can add something to the mix, drop me a line. Keep to work with another singer songwriter who can sing well and harmonise, or a laptop toting soundscape/fax/samples/beats type person (to get a feel not unlike Beth Orton's remixes, but with a bit more grunt).
Greetings, I am looking for some talented and motivated Melbourne based singer-songwriters to form a bill with and play some shows. Successful applicants will possess: * A strong set of original material, performed with at least some small amount of proficiency. * A proven capability to bring some sort of a crowd who are willing to (pay to ) watch you play. We are not talking dozens, but you should fill at least a couple of tables. Ideally, your mates like to drink! * At least one borderline alcoholic who will drink copious amounts off alcohol, especially during the week or on a Sunday arvo, thus increasing the venue's bar takings. * A distinct lack of rock star mentality. You will be happy to play at the Empress/Old Bar etc during the week given that Rod Laver will be unavailable for your impending EP launch. Salary package is negotiable, but highly dependant on commission income. You dig? Message me if interested with preferred dates/days of the week or for further details (of which there are very few) and if you think your style is compatible with mine. The only question I need to ask myself is do I dare leave the PC for fear of the inbox being overloaded with responses, or do I take the chance that the ISP will be able to handle the volume of traffic to my e-mail address and get myself some sleep. Such are the dilemmas I am currently facing. Cheers, Ben Currently listening : Live at the Fillmore West February 1969 By The Byrds Release date: 2000-02-22
