We've been rehearsing new material with a new bass player - Tim Vancella, ex of the Bourbons and the Marius Band - exciting times. We'll update soon with gig dates for early 2013.
Just back from the day at Grillstock: we arrived at 11 and headed straight for the Jeremiah Weed stage and tried their root and sourmash brews while waiting for our noon slot.
After a bit of a shaky start by the sound crew we settled in to it. The weather stayed fair for us and there was a good sized crowd.
The set featured our new version of Bob Marley's Exodus - it went great and for us was the standout of our set.
During the day we feasted on pulled pork, baby rack ribs and the steak sandwiches at El Gaucho were amazing.
A word of warning on the chilli sauce stall opposite El Gaucho: Dragons Blood 13 - it's dangerous...
I guess this was probably our first full gig, and certainly the first with the high-hat and guitar case bass drum foot pedal percussion combo. We had a great time - Marius remembered the words to Man of Constant Sorrow, and I made a reasonable stab at Stone Fox Chase.
We'll be back at the WSC this coming Thursday (17th May) to support Furlined and Cindy Stratton - we hope to see you there...
All the best, Tom
