Comus Inn Jazz Night

Played with Kerensa Gray at the Comus Inn, Dickerson, MD. Beautiful restaurant and mountain setting for a fun night of jazz.

Jazz at the Valencia

Wonderful performance for the Morgan Stanley financial seminar on 11/7/13 at the Valencia Ballroom in York. Had the pleasure of working with Greg Thompkins, Jerry Brenner, Jesse Powers and Kerensa Gray. A powerhouse lineup of talent.

Back In Motion

Having a great time working occasionally with the Back In Motion 8 piece horn band. We're doing some nice soul and R&B tunes all designed to keep the dance floor rockin'.

John Thomas with Dave Winter

Thanks to Baltimore saxophonist John Thomas who jumped in at the last minute on 2/20/13 to fill in for an ailing Greg Thompkins. Outstanding performance on short notice.

Playing with Greg Thompkins at Sullivans

Wednesday, Feb 20 will be another performance with Baltimore premier sax player Greg Thompkins. Sure to be an outstanding night.

Jazz Trio at Sullivan's

Greg Thompkins (sax), Bill Monroe (bass) and Dave Winter with a night of straight ahead jazz and standards. The place was alive and the atmosphere was very cool. Great night.

Sullivans Gig With Greg Thompkins

Played at Sullivans with tenor sax man Greg Thompkins the day before the Baltimore Grand Prix race. Greg is an amazing player with the chops to do justice to Coltrane and Bird. I love the way he plays outside the box and explores atonal sequences, exotic scales and dissonance. Can't wait for our next gig together.

Adams County Winery Show

What a great time we had at the Winery. Beautiful weather, nice turnout and smokin' jazz. The concert flew by, it was just so much fun. Kerensa was is fine voice and Steve on upright bass was right in the pocket.

Outside concerts

We're into the season of playing in the great outdoors, always a challenge. Keeping an eye on the weather as each gig approaches. It's been very good so far. Yard parties, lunch time concerts, parks, a winery. It's all fun.

Busy Spring and Summer schedule

The Spring and Summer months are seeing a mix of dance dates and solo gigs. I'm working on expanding my jazz opportunities. Most of my listeners have known me as a dance musician. Without leaving that behind I'm trying to reach out to another audience and make some additional contacts with venues and musicians. It's all good music.
