Tornado Rose releases Fireball Run
Alt-Rock Bluegrass band, Tornado Rose, is pleased to announce the release of their first single ‘Fireball Run’. It embodies soulful passionate roots rock music with flavors of bluegrass and country intermixed with a swing feel.
Fireball Run is streaming at: http://www.tornadorose.com/Tunes.html. It is available on iTunes, Amazon.com, Spotify and other digital media outlets. Fireball Run follows the release of the critically acclaimed ‘Dust in my Shadow EP’ released by Tornado Rose in June of 2013.
Rick Jamm from Jamsphere.com previewed the release, “Fireball Run is a tune that inspires the soul. This single is a must have for any true music enthusiast. Folksy, stylistic and innovative! If you’ve already discovered great bands like Mumford and Sons, the Avett Brothers, Augustana, The Lumineers and the Civil Wars, then add to that list Tornado Rose.“
“Fireball Run is a beautifully crafted indie-folk rock track and packs a bunch of surprises, changing tones, and tempos in mid-song,” Jamm continued. “The whole thing flows so beautifully. The lyrics, instrumentals and the harmony of it all continue to make Tornado Rose an epic band that has much more to give to the music community.”
“Fireball Run really represents how much we’ve grown together as songwriters, everything we’ve done as individual musicians and as a band. We love it,” Says vocalist Brooke Bell. Fireball Run represents the most sublime, universal moment in music, the purpose of music- the connection to another person. When you hear a song that perfectly describes the most intimate nature of your thoughts and you come to understand, in that moment, that you are not alone in the world. I and I as the great Bob Marley would say.”
Winning audiences and defying genre classification since their inception in May of 2011, Tornado Rose is an independent Alt-Rock Bluegrass band of talented, versatile musicians based out of Wichita, Kansas. Tornado Rose got their start with a rousing performance amid the mud and rain-battered revelers of the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival’s own famous Stage V and lived happily ever after, playing to packed bars, concert halls, garages, backyards and basements all over the Midwest. Tornado Rose has risen as high as #22 on the U.S. Nationwide Reverbnation Alternative chart and has held the #1 position on the Reverbnation Alternative chart for Wichita, KS for 44 consecutive weeks.

Alt-Rock Bluegrass band, Tornado Rose’s debut EP, Dust in my Shadow releases June 25, 2013. Dust in my Shadow EP embodies a full Parthenon of musical influences capturing aspects of Bluegrass, Rock, Folk, Blues, Red Dirt, Funk and Soul for a reverberant mix of substance and surprise. From melodic electric guitar riffs to the sweet sensibilities of an old time string band, Tornado Rose offers a fresh look at the evolutionary nature of music and transforms a wide spectrum of inspiration into pure musical fusion.
“Each song has been a fully collaborative effort, with each member breathing life into their respective instruments and interweaving their stream of consciousness into each song,” said vocalist Brooke Bell. “I feel like the luckiest girl alive to get to play in a band with some of the kindest, coolest and most talented guys I know. The hardest part of making Dust in my Shadow EP was picking the genre of music we fit into because the songs on the EP are so diverse.”
Dust in my Shadow EP spans from the haunting reminiscent tale of ’80 Acres’ to the rich undertones in ‘Devil You Know.’ The soulful melancholy of ‘Gravity’ balances the themes of escapism and easing the perils of modern life found in ‘Damned If I Don’t (Have a Good Time).’
Stoney from BaconRock.com commented on the release, “Tornado Rose has crafted a new sound unlike anything else coming out of the independent music scene. Dust in my Shadow EP is a wild ride with sick electric guitar riffs over hard driving bluegrass complimented by angelic vocals. Tornado Rose is an exceptional band with a distinctive new sound that needs to be on your radar.”
