BEING A STARVING ARTIST IN NEW YORK CITY

Jay Z, Busta Rhymes, Nicki Minaj, and many others are products of this great city. But it's becoming much more difficult to get that "big break." You would think that talent would be easy to be discovered in New York City, but thats not the case. I've been grinding for a few years, and still I have YET to come across ONE good person to work with. There are many other great aspiring singers and musicians that I practice with, but where are all the artist managers looking for new talent, the A&R's, scouts, and record label execs? I've been going to many events, showcases, open mics, etc, and have yet to be approached by ONE connected person. Am I not as good as I think I am?? Or maybe I'm due, who knows. But as for now, I'll keep grindin it out. Anyone else ever get these feelings???
