Burns Station Album Notes

Burns Station is a collection of personal firmware updates that were downloaded in the first six months of the year 2011. The album starts out with a celebratory salute to awareness and the evolution of consciousness then continues briskly with a karmic reminder of proper ethical treatment and respecting the fairer sex.

Continuing in the theme of appreciation, Inside tells a story of discovery and curiousity while advancing the subject in an initiation of mystery. Down the Line is a light-hearted treatment of an episode of incompatible timing.

Rainy Days was written on a substaintially rainy day in Burns, Tennesse. The good country rain fell as a reminder of the positive aspects that the liquid of life bestows upon the balance and renewel on this beautiful planet.

Ocean of Dreams finds a sailor out on the stormy deep who crosses the deep returning to his true love.

Red Pyramid is the middle point of the album and is meant to provide cleansing of the palette to prepare the listener for the evening of the presentation.

On the Hurricane recounts the true story of an East Nashville romance.

Lonesome Midnight Blues reflects on a love of the past considering the virtues and vices from years ago.

Make Her Smile is a fun, old-time spirited tune with a simple melody and theme.

Burns Station distills an experience of living in Dickson county where traditional values yield a mixture of experiences that are punctuated by the train of awareness which blows its whistle rolling through the country bringing with it the payload boxcars of new consciousness.

Blood Mountain, a Gamble Rogers song, relates the strange and confusing story of a man who extricates himself from an untoward relationship amidst a tumultuous torrent of unfamiliar circumstances.

Shaman Tickets is an old-time dance tune.
