Lunar Mach V is an E.P. that contains five songs from the upcoming conceptual L.P."The Life & Times of Stig Rotsky Revisited"; which is loosely based on the life of the guitar player's previous band's lead singer. The first track on the E.P., "Love Is Between My Legs", is a down and dirty rocker about free love, but for punk rockers and everyone else alike. It's followed by a 70's Hard Rock anthem, "Lucky 7" whose lyrics expose the drug culture in America. The 3rd song "In The Thirsty Hour" is one of their fastest songs, in the tradition of Heavy Metal Thrash, which deals with the disease of addiction. The fourth song on the E.P. called "Temptress" is a simple three chord Pop song where the basses (a 12 string bass is utilized to modulate the main melody) are paramount to this song about the world's oldest profession. The E.P. ends with another fast Heavy Metal song "Necrophilia" about the life of a serial killer.
Rust N' Dust is a documentation of two different bands on tour together spreading messages of Anarchy & Unity and most especially, in the case of individuality, from Dust Angel's enigmatic vocalist Madame St. Beatrice. Both bands share every band musician but the singer. Paul Cripple is using a singer that doesn't quite fit "the norm" of what a heavy and hard rock singer should be and he uses his new band Dust Angel to showcase all the new material he has amassed for one final Reagan Youth record, along with brand new songs to make Dust Angel and Reagan Youth give complete performance that stand up against each other. Well here's the bands making their way throughout America as wisdom is imparting and much valuable experiences are gained for the souls of life. Take a look at the video teasers meanwhile Madame S†. Beatrice and her mass finalize the film.
No punches pulled! Read a blog that discloses why Dust Angel came about and why it's taking Paul Cripple so long to release new material. Copy+Paste: http://paulcripple.blogspot.com/2013/08/songs-taking-way-too-longand-why-it-is.html
So we finally got our hands on rough mixes we’ve recorded a few weeks ago in the studio. It’s starting to take shape thanks to Felipe Torres, George Grant & most importantly Tibbie X for making this become an achievable dream. And Paul would like to extend his gratitude to Laura Simon for believing in him and his musical abilities.
Next up bass, rhythm, vocals and leads. Stay tuned cuz you don’t want to miss when these tracks are finally done.
Dust Angel now has an official website that I, Madame St.Beatrice have put together. Took me some time but I persevered.
For the 5 years I’ve (Madame St. Beatrice) known Paul Cripple (guitar man) I had the knowledge of Paul’s brillant idea and desire of releasing one last REAGAN YOUTH album; a concept album based on the dearly departed, David Rubinstein better known as Dave Insurgent, Reaganomics, 80s; mainly Dave Insurgent’s life on the New York scene.
For those who follow Reagan Youth since the reformation should be fully aware of the different line ups especially the most obvious and significant, the different singers. During these years of reformation I’ve learned and witnessed Paul’s drive to prove his relevance and strive to work on new songs but apparently it seemed to me that none of the replacement members compromise hundred percentage with Paul’s idea to work on new songs until NOW.
I, Madame St. Beatrice sings and is very much in love with music and since I revolve myself in the so called music scene I’ve become involved recently in singing the new songs, co-writing and truly understanding the whole concept amongst other ideas that Paul had in store for awhile. Paul Cripple recently formed a new band called Dust Angel where I sing hard rock, metal, punk rock tunes including the new Reagan Youth songs; songs that will eventually make it onto Reagan Youth’s last album. And so far Paul and I have intensively worked on 9 out of 12 songs for this concept album; some of the songs could be heard on Soundcloud, Reverbnation, Bandcamp and MySpace, songs that we countinuously tweaked and seek to improve until they’re finally recorded; songs like “Trapped in Hell”, “Necrophilia”, “Temptress”, “Hapless Misfits”, “Idle Hands”, “In the Thirsty Hour”, “Love is the Between my Legs”,“Lucky 7” and “Crown of Thorns”. It has been six months since I took the music seriously and I have to say that I’ve learned so much and that I am willing to learn so much more; learned that it’s a process to overcome and become what you envision.
