Hi everyone, You know how crazy everything gets once Halloween passes, right? That time of year always seems to fly by...especially when you are enjoying time with family and friends! But before 2014 passes, I wanted to make sure I shared love and support to others in need. So on Dec. 7th, we are hosting an event called the "Don't Give Up" Concert featuring Southbound 85 and NC's own Amanda Daughtry. It's going to be at City Limits Saloon in Raleigh and Amanda takes the stage around 7:30pm (doors open at 6pm). It's only $10 and all of the proceeds go to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research! So please, come on out and support this great cause! I would love to see that Big Check at the end of the show read $5000 or more! Work has began on the Southbound 85 album! If you have come to some of our shows, you have heard a couple of the songs. The one that seems to be getting the most response thus far is "We're really kinda different" - the band loved the bridge I just put in...they said it made it a totally different song. I mean, who doesn't love "sittin' beneath the stars on a country road, she's drinkin' that red wine, listening to George Jones"? Let's see....stars, country road, good lookin' lady, wine and George Jones.....sounds like a great country song to me! Fact is, I like that song a lot....but I don't think it will be the best track on the album. Want to know which song I think will be the best? You'll have to buy the album when it comes out! But let me assure you, there is something for everyone on the album! Stay tuned! Otherwise, everyone please have a great holiday season - I hope your days are filled with memories and joy! See you Dec. 7th at City Limits Saloon!
Hey everyone! I hope you had a great July 4th and are planning to come out and see us sometime in the near future! This week, we are working really hard on some original tracks. The goal is to roll out some tracks at our next few shows and then have a completed disc for purchase by the "Don't Give Up" Concert in December! So, wish us luck and stay in touch! As always, thank you for being a fan!
Happy New Year and thanks for making us one of the best bands in NC! We are beginning work on our first album this year (est. drop date is July) and we are getting booking requests all over the state....so, 2014 looks to be a good year for Southbound 85! If you haven't liked our Facebook page...please visit and do so! Thank you all for your continued support and we will see you at a show soon!
We've pretty much wrapped up the festival circuit for this year. Now, the leaves are turning colors...the air is getting cold...and we are finsihing 2013 out with some great events! Make sure to check out our calendar to see some of the great events we have coming up and try to catch us at an event near you!
Wow, March is off the chain! We have performed all over eastern NC, made our debut in a couple of new venues and you just keep asking for more! Thank you to all of our supporters! We are integrating some new material along the way and the next time you see us, you'll notice a difference! So, come see us live! Best wishes everyone!
Hey everyone! We had a tremendous show at The Longbranch in Raleigh (thanks for coming out)! We are taking some time off in February...gearing up for a very exciting (and busy) spring! See you March 24th at The Longbranch! We have a couple of suprises in store!
Hello again everyone! Well, after a tremendous Halloween night at The Longbranch of Raleigh and a great two night stand at The Tarheel Opry House in Jacksonville, me and the boys are making a return to Raleigh this Saturday, Nov. 13th for a full show. I promise there will be dancing and a good time to be had by all! Come on out and say hello! We'll see you at the show!
Hey everyone, We are gearing up for what has turned out to be a very promising and busy fall! You will find us all over central and eastern North Carolina over the next few months! We are also making follow-up calls with the festivals that were interested in having us from last year. We are still on cloud nine following the downtown Raleigh block party where over 2700 people were singing along and partying with us AND from the Got To Be NC Festival at the NC State Fairgrounds where even the children were bee-bopping along. So, please stay in touch and come on out to see one of our shows! Hope to see you all soon! ~ Jeff
