aahhhh!! been away from the DJ world for month! That's quite a long time for me. Anyways, let me tell you how I remix, which i have come to learn. i use fl studio 10 producer edition which i have spent hours learning through some online courses and stuff. i create my own acapella for the songs i want to remix(for promo only) using some techniques i learned over time. its always never perfect but if you know what to do its all good. there are some good sites out there which provide quality acapellas so look for it. i create my own sound i.e beat arrangements, electro sounds, lead sounds, bass, brass...ETC... with quality EQing, compression, limiting and many many tricks which i have learned over time. i have always remixed in the tune or in chord of the song so you get the best sounding remix. i have learned the basic when i was young and there are always other ways to do 'in chord' mixing. FL Studio or any other DAW is not about making beats and sounds and adding it to the songs. It will always come out muddy if you don't do EQing and other stuffs to it. I do my own mastering which i have come to learned with the help of a wonderful mastering tool (which wasn't easy to learn, it all about your ears and many cool stuffs associated with it). of course i can write on and on about the preparation for mastering, remixing, compressing, EQing, limiting but i have decided i want to share my knowledge to who ever wants to learn right here in Fiji. So to let artists know that i am always learning so there are many things i do which other people may do it differently. lets all learn and share ideas and produce quality remixes, original mixes and songs. Love recreating the music on songs using the acapella (vocals only). If any of you need acapella of my recent songs, pls do mail me.
Everything is done on FL Studio. Totally love it!!
