NEW ALBUM! NEW WEBSITE! SHOW SCHEDULE!

First off, thanks to everyone who has been out to see us this month! We've rolled through Boston, New York City, Connecticut, Philadelphia, DC, Farmville, Fairfax, Blacksburg and Baltimore and our friends have been coming out in force! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH! Now to the news.... New Studio Album WE'RE ALMOST DONE WITH DEPARTURES!!! We are currently having the artwork done by Serpent vs. Sailor (Fall Out Boy, Big D and the Kids Table, Coheed and Cambria) and putting the finishing touches on the music itself, and let me tell you, WE ARE FREAKING OUT WE ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT IT!!! It contains 10 tracks, 6 of which have never been recorded before. You will be able to pre-order your copy in the next couple of weeks, and if you order one before it drops at the beginning of June it will come with some stickers and a tshirt too! More details on that to come. The Launch of Murphyskids.com We have put up a basic version of Murphyskids.com, and will be adding MASSIVE amounts of content soon, but in the meantime, swing on by and check it out, let us know what you think of the artwork and the layout if you get a second! FESTIVAL FEST!!! We're back in Harrisonburg, Virginia this Saturday for Festival Fest, a free celebration marking the end of Earth week and a ton of cool events and speakers geared towards raising awareness of ecologically sustainable technologies and practices... we are playing with the Hackensaw Boys (knee-slappin' super fun bluegrass) and Dubconcious (socially concious reggae). There will be music all day and don't hold your breath but it looks like we might see 75 degrees and massive amounts of delicious sun, so bring some sunscreen a frisbee and your dancing shoes, we're going to have a BIG OLE OUTDOOR PARTY!!! Charity Poster Contest!

POSTER CONTEST!!!!

In a continuing effort to bring artists and good causes together, we have decided to hold a poster design contest! Here's the deal everybody:

Murphy's Kids is looking for a brand new poster design and we thought it'd be cool to see what your big beautiful brains can come up with!

The pace has really been picking up for the band lately and we're getting ready to hit the studio to record a full length tentatively titled "Departures". The title reflects the new stylistic additions to our sound as well as a recurring theme of people moving on.

The winning submission will be chosen by..the dudes in the band and will be the first in a new line of 150-print limited edition posters offered exclusively at shows and the online store!

ALL NET PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE WINNER'S CHARITY OF CHOICE!

The winner's also gonna get their hands on a kickass Murphy's Kids prize pack including t-shirts, CD's, and free VIP tickets to the show of your choice!
