As soon as 90’s Alternative music locked around the brain of Jaysun Lynch, there was no turning back. When sitting to listen to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness all the way through for the first time, a magic transformation of dreams occurred: musician. Not rock star, not fame, pure creation of audio emotion. Learned guitar on my own at 13, mainly from his extremely musical parents partial faith in their play-by-ear genetics passing to him. The other part was not wanting to waste music lesson money on a potential fad for their confused teenage boy. Learning every song from every album he owned, crafting a signature style and writing furiously, pieces fell to place. Having played in various bands throughout high school, nothing stuck.

I come from a very musically inclined family, though I can't really say that I personally have any meaningful history of it. My father still performs as a singer in a band and will occasionally perform in weddings and the like. My mother is a very good pianist, and her talent spreads to several other instruments. She'll occasionally perform alongside my father. I have always been surrounded by both a great appreciation for music and a drive to perform. Neither of my parents get stage fright, and I would go so far as to say that my dad flourishes in front of large crowds. He is completely at home there. My parents were never too forward with pushing me into music, but rather were very supportive and willing to nurture any interest I might have along those lines. I did want to perform, though. Before I could sing or hold a guitar I was very comfortable in front of large crowds of friends, classmates, or community members. It was several years later before I would be able to tie in music with my inane call to exhibitionism(for better or worse)... I had been writing lyrics and singing to myself for a couple of years before I started working with Jaysun at a movie theatre. After realizing that we had a lot of common musical interests we discussed forming a band in which he would play lead guitar and I would do much of the singing--but before we could possibly get into that, he would teach me how to play guitar...
