Hello fans! It's been a while since you've heard from us, so there's lots to tell! Our spring/summer gig schedule is building. We kick it off Saturday, April 24 at Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro, NH for their "Mixed Tape 2010" event. Saturday, May 8 brings us to Greenland, NH for the "Escape to Reality Youth Conference" in the morning (private event) and then across the state to Milford, NH for the "2nd Annual Battle of the Bands" to benefit Milford Christian Academy. We need fans with very loud cheering to spur us on. $10 admission, all ages, 4 pm start. Friday, May 21 will have us sharing a stage at Ground Zero with Inpop Records artist EVERYDAY SUNDAY and other local bands. $10 per ticket, please get them from us. If you were with us last year for our show with The Classic Crime, you will want to be with us again this year for this concert! It promises to be another blockbuster. Sunday, May 23 we take the stage with 9 other regional bands at Manchester Memorial High School for the "2nd Annual Frisbee Tournament to benefit Project Reach" and their ongoing service projects. Saturday, July 17, we will take part in "Concord Market Days"—stage location and time TBA. More dates will be announced as they are confirmed. Oh, and if you got some time, stop by www.ourstage.com and do some judging in the Bon Jovi competition. We are entered in the contest for the Foxboro, MA show. We were a little late jumping in on this one and can use some votes! You all did great for us in 2008 and voting us into Soulfest. Could lightning strike twice?? Voting stops at the end of this month, so hurry if you want to help! If you get the Nashua, NH cable station 99, the "603 Show" will be airing a show featuring Borderline Eleven. Airing will be on Fridays @ 10 PM and Saturdays @ 11 PM. This is a student-produced show, and we've seen a preview. We perform a couple of our new songs from the CD and sit down for a Q&A with one of the hosts. There were some sound/technical issues with our songs, but the band interview is sick! CD RELEASE NEWS We are getting closer. The promo photo shoot has taken place (like the new pic?), and preliminary mixes of the tracks are in, with final mixing to be done shortly. Art design is also underway. The label has not given us a hard release date yet. Stay tuned for that announcement. Thank you for your continued support, and we are looking forward to a FUN summer promoting the CD release. We hope to see you at a summer gig, and be sure to say hi! ~Borderline Eleven~
Spent a cold New Hampshire morning in several Manchester spots taking pics for our upcoming CD release. The historic Millyard has plenty of great backgrounds and we hit a few of them. We sacrificed a few degrees of bodily temperature for our art today! But it will be worth it. Once we have a solid release date for the CD, we will announce it and let you know when pre-sales will start. Hang in there with us. It's been a long road since this all got started, but we are closing in on the finish. Only a couple of months to go! ~Borderline Eleven~
The Congregational Church of Henniker and the Community Christian Church jointly sponsored a Battle of the Bands on Satuday, October 17, 2009. Four bands participated: "It's Not Safe Here", "In The Summer", "The Golden Years" and yours truly. All the bands played great and had fun. We played fourth and just as we were about to start, the lights and mics went out. All the breakers were in place, so it was a mystery as to why the power went out. Then it was discovered that there are timers on the electrical outlets in the building, so power was restored and on we went. Although we played four songs, the energy in the room was tremendous and it felt like a full-length concert! When all was said and done, Borderline Eleven was picked as the winner of the night, and we feel very blessed and grateful for the honor. Dan Whitney was tremendous as the event organizer and did a great job on the technical end. Amazingly kept his cool through the power outage and got things back on track pretty quickly, although in his mind it probably felt like f-o-r-e-v-e-r-r-r. We hope to see some of the bands in shows in the future. Great talent in NH--support your local bands!!!!! Luke, Andy, Dan, and Joe ~Borderline Eleven~
We want to thank you, our fans, for supporting us in an awesome 2008. The gigs we had were a lot of fun and some of the largest we have done in our band history. We'll always remember SUMMER KICKOFF 08 and opening for ELEVENTYSEVEN and THE FOLD! Making it onto the Inside Out Stage at SOULFEST was very momentous, and sharing the stage with JOHN REUBEN was simply amazing! WEST'S BATTLE OF THE BANDS and TRINITYSTOCK were great events to be a part of, and we could never forget our friends at NASHUA ROTARY'S RIBFEST, HOOKSETT OLD HOME DAY, CLUB CANNON, GROUND ZERO, and THE SAD CAFE! And to THE REVOLUTION SHOW--what can we say except "THANK YOU" for the wonderful opportunities!! We don't know what's in store for 2009 but we hope it will be as great as both 2007 and 2008 were! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing fans, old and new, at some great gigs this coming year! God bless you all, Andy, Dan, Joe, and Luke BORDERLINE ELEVEN
Thank you to everyone who voted for our songs in April and May at OurStage.com. We finished second in overall voting in May and were selected for one of the four sets open at SoulFest!! This is New England's premiere Christian music festival right in our own backyard at Gunstock Mountain in Gilford, NH. We have attended it every year and now we get to play! Very psyched to say the least.
We will take the stage on Saturday, August 2, 2008 @ 2:45 PM at the Inside Out Stage. That is the main stage up on the hill. Please come celebrate this big moment in the life of the band! Multi-day and single day passes are on sale, and prices go up on July 1st. Visit www.thesoulfest.com for event information.
Once again, THANK YOU FOR YOUR VOTES AND SUPPORT!!
After two years of work to make this band what it is today from just a dream, we had our first opportunity to open for two national bands on May 30, 2008. We were asked to open the third annual SUMMER KICKOFF for The Revolution Show and 90.7 FM WLMW radio. Headlining were ELEVENTYSEVEN of Flicker Records and THE FOLD from Chicago.
We have attended this event since it started, so to be on the other side as a performer was pretty different. Just hangin' our with the other bands and seeing them as real people was pretty cool. Our set was well received and we probably surprised some people who either had never seen us or who saw us a while ago. We were able to get some practice time in the venue, so we got out of the basement to work on our moves. Show time hit and we were ready. Things started to go wrong, like an issue with our drums and Dan's Gibson guitar neck breaking at sound check and missing the fun part of the VIP dinner, but everything fell into place and we had the time of our lives.
We are so grateful to The Revolution Show for this opportunity and know that God may have more shows like this one in store for us, but this was the first, and it will always hold a special place in our heart and our memories.
