Darrell is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston. While living in Boston, Darrell worked as a singer/entertainer on the Spirit of Boston Harbor cruise ship and played around Boston with his band Picasso Press. After a four year stint in Boston, Darrell moved to the "Live Music Capital of the World" city of Austin, Texas where he immediately began networking in the music scene and put together the band VoxBox. This classic rock genre band showcased the musicians' exceptional songwriting, vocal and harmony talent and opened doors for the band to play regularly around Austin and doing live shows traveling around the Southwest. Darrell has won songwriting awards from Berklee, the Austin Songwriters Group and has been recognized by having one of his songs featured on a KLBJ Local Licks Live CD. Darrell has played numerous shows at The Grapevine Opry, Main Street Days and Grapefest in the DFW area. Darrell currently gigs regularly around Texas performing covers of Country, Texas Country, Classic Rock and Top 40 music as an acoustic solo artist as well as with multiple other musicians as a duo, trio and full-band.
