Malta show postponed due to Iceland volcano eruption

It is with huge regret that we have to postpone the gig in Malta this weekend until a later date which will be announced soon. Due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland, and subsequent ban on planes entering UK airspace we have no option but to wait until this is over and try again. Despite both the pope initially and now mother nature doing their best to prevent us playing we are determined to make this happen. Nick Holmes had this comment:

To all PL fans in Malta, We regret to announce due to British Aerospace ban on flights our concert tomorrow will have to be postponed to a later date.

We have had a string of bad luck with shows of late, this is the third cancellation through no fault of our own, but we hope this is only a temporary hiccup, we really want to make this happen! Please don’t burn effigies’ of us in the streets just yet, and keep an eye out for the re-scheduled date!

Paradise Lost - Tour Cancellations

URGENT PRESS RELEASE – NOV 13th 2009 PARADISE LOST – TOUR CANCELLATIONS

As some of you maybe aware, we have had to use a stand in guitarist (Milly Evans) to replace Greg Mackintosh for a few dates due to a serious illness within Greg's family. We did this with the sole purpose to prevent having to cancel any shows and to avoid disappointing fans that had already bought tickets and were looking forward to the concerts.

So it is with great regret that we have to unavoidably announce that some gigs must be postponed for now and rescheduled as soon as possible. This is due to prior commitments Milly Evans has with his own band. We are working round these to fly him back and forth wherever possible to minimise any disruption to the tour, but we ask you to bear with us in this difficult time. The list of gigs to be postponed are as follows:

3rd Dec - Romania 4th Dec - Bulgaria 5th Dec - Croatia

10th Dec - Switzerland 11th Dec - Germany 12th Dec - Switzerland

If there are any further up-dates we will bring them to you asap.

Thanks again for your understanding.

Explicitly Intense interview with Gregor posted online

Greg leaves Euro Tour

Tragically, Lead Guitarist Greg Mackintosh will be unable to continue with Paradise Lost’s ‘Faith Divides Us – Death Unites Us’ tour of Europe due to a terminal illness within his family.

Greg’s father was taken critically ill some weeks ago, yet Greg decided to commence the tour anyway in the hope that future news from home would be positive.

This unfortunately was not the case, therefore (as of 6th November 2009), Greg will remain in England to support his relatives during this difficult time.

Everyone involved with the band would like to offer Greg our support and to let him know all our thoughts are with him.

The tour will not end here though.

Milly Evans, (Paradise Lost’s long-standing Guitar Technician, and keyboardist from Terrorvision), will fill in for Greg with immediate effect.

Having worked with the band for many years, Milly knows Paradise Lost’s repertoire far more than most, and will endeavour to provide a seamless transition between guitarists. Milly is highly regarded among Paradise Lost’s fan-base and is the best person to fill Greg’s role in the band for the rest of the European tour.

We apologise in advance to those of you who will be joining us for the European dates and will no doubt be disappointed by Greg’s absence. However, I am sure you will appreciate this unfortunate situation was unavoidable and everyone is doing everything they can to ensure the shows run as smoothly as possible.

Tattoo the Mind Festival, France, Oct 11 - 12 Cancelled

It is with great regret that we've been informed of the cancellation of the Tattoo the Mind Festival in Metz where we were scheduled to headline on October 10th. Apparently the festival didn't sell enough tickets making it necessary to cancel the whole event which is a terrible shame as the line-up was an amazing one. An official statement from the promoter can be found here: http://www.bravewords.com/news/122945

We hope to be able to re-schedule a new date in the area soon and we hope to see you all there instead.
