Back in the studio tomorrow! I'm trying to pare down the set-list. I am never short on material, but sometimes too many songs can be problematic as well. So many songs...so little time.
Thank you to everyone who came out this evening to my show at the Lasalle Kitchen and Tavern. It was a packed house tonight, and I am really looking forward to coming back this month on the 19th. Hope to see you there.
I am really looking forward to 2015. The bookings are steadily picking up, and I will be releasing "Alone With The Blues" sometime before Spring rolls around. Thank you to all who have shown support for me and my music. I could not do it without you.
This has been a really fun week! I am playing a benefit show for the Lion's Club on November 15 in South Bend at the State Theater, and there has been a lot of promotion leading up to the show. Sunday I was on the 88.1 Blues Review radio show performing with Randy Whiteman, and today Randy and me were taped for WNIT television show "Experience Michiana." We are hoping for a big turn out for the Lion's Club this Saturday!
Just curious...how many guitar players out there use open c? I am becoming well acquainted with it, and am finding it quite useful.
Thank you to everyone who came out today. It was a great turnout, and a great time!
I've been typing up my song lists for tomorrow's show at the South Bend Farmer's Market. While reviewing the old hand written ones, I realized I could barely read my own writing. Anyway...I am looking forward to my first show at the market!
I'm itching to be on stage again. Not a full blown case of road fever as of yet, but I see a lot of local gigs coming my way. It's time to get back to what I do best...live shows!
Another trip to the studio this afternoon. This recording session should wrap up my current project...of course then we will have to work on the final mix and editing. For me, however, the toughest part of any project is the actual performance. No overdubs, it is all live. I better be "on" today!
I am preparing for a recording session with Tony Bayless in about a week. It is going to be live, one-take performances. Sometimes I struggle at narrowing my focus, but I think I have it under control this time. Also, I have a few gigs coming up around the corner. It's going to be a busy week!
