What a great Year Two! As Aqua Cherry gets ready to kick off Year Three with an all-out funk reggae rockfest at NYC's legendary The Bitter End on February 3rd, we can't thank you enough for being a part of all the fun!
With the full length album Drowning in the Shallow End expanding our library of professional recorded music to 15 amazing tracks, Aqua Cherry was all over the internet and terrestrial radio in year two. We got another dose of live radio airplay- and a chance to rock "Rapper's Delight" with the Sugar Hill Gang's very own Wonder Mic- on 103.9 WRCN's The Real Radio Show with Frankie Dee and Henry K. Dan Herman over at Radio Crystal Blue spun several of our tracks this year, as did Vents Music. We were also featured on MIT's 88.1 WMBR Droppin Knowledge show, as well as Jango Radio, ruKus radio, FNA radio, Tot's radio, Aqua Cherry radio, and Allbiz Entertainment's Virtual Showcase.
Our music and live performances inspired some insightful interviews and show reviews. The LIST Magazine discovered what makes Aqua Cherry unique to the music industry, AJ & DBS found out how we came to be and what drives us, and John Lamont gave his take on a rockin high-energy show he caught on Long Island.
As always, Aqua Cherry kept busy gigging hard this year. We rocked the main strip at Sickenberger Lane for the Utica Music and Art Fest, put on fantastic shows at some of our favorite venues such as the acclaimed "Double Dip" performances at Arlene's Grocery and The Parkside Lounge, and played some exciting new clubs like The Delancey and Lulu's Village Pub. Aqua Cherry was also invited to ring in the new year with host Laura Bowman at the Blackbird's (Astoria) New Years Eve Bash.
Stay tuned for more great live shows AND some new studio tracks, as we get ready to record "Auto Kiss Proof," "Passion is a Drug" and more of your recent favorites. The best is yet to come. Rock with us!
