ELECTROGENESIS: The new album from Keith Davies (featuring McDylbot & Tom Barraclough) available from December 14th 2015 from all major digital distribution outlets.
Aggressive, loud and overall enjoyable. This set of songs hits the mark for being downright adventurous. The way that this album combines many different aspects of rock & metal is pretty amazing. It also has borderline thrash guitar solo's that wouldn't go a miss on any 'Slayer' album. Songs such as "Reincarnate" and "Reborn Associative" all have rather face melting guitar solo's, where as the song "Maximum Apocalypse" has a different vibe but no less heavy in terms of song direction and guitar solo's. "Hollow Insomniac" is a monster of a song that is relentless from beginning to end!
The influences within this album flow freely and you can hear a slight musical nod towards 'TOOL' within the verses of "Reborn Associative." The verses of this song are melodically sung which then leads into BIG aggressive choruses. The screamo chorus vocals are a nice touch which help to give this song a mix of aggression and melody.
"Maximum Apocalypse" is a song that has three sections to it. All three sections are incredibly well done. The middle section of this song is the most melodic and the other sections are far more aggressive. For those of you who remember what the band 'RUSH' always did with songs like "2112" and "CYGNUS X-1 Book II: Hemispheres" to name a few, those songs were also made up of different sections. "Maximum Apocalypse" is something like that only a lot heavier. We're not saying that this song should be compared to anything 'RUSH' orientated, it's more to do with the structure & example of how it's elegantly put together. To experiment with such aggressiveness and be able to pull off this sort of thing is truly remarkable. The guitar solo's within "Maximum Apocalypse" are somewhat different and are more flowing which create a really nice diverse contrast to what has come before hand.
"Hollow Insomniac" is without doubt the heaviest song on 'Electrogenesis.' From the word go the 7-string guitars and drums pound their way forward into a superb bass-drop which leads awesomely into the first verse. The verses are quite different from anything that Keith has attempted before. It kind of has a 'System Of A Down' feel to it but then it doesn't! The choruses for this song are again very aggressive. The guitar riffs within this song progress into something that sounds technically complexed. The overall symphonic aspect of this album is truly breathtaking because in each song (no matter how aggressive) you will find a nice symphonic element to it.
This whole album is a rather refreshing take on modern metal. It does have elements of old-school metal but then just as familiarity sets in it branches off into something completely intriguing and satisfying.

June 15th 2014 saw Hybrid Clockwork enter the digital distribution market and is Keith's fifth worldwide release. Hybrid Clockwork contains 9 tracks and is the first release that Keith offers on a professional glass mastered CD. To get the glass mastered Hybrid Clockwork CD please contact/email Keith. Hybrid Clockwork has also debuted at Number 24 in the Rockadia New Release chart and currently sits higher in that chart above a few of Keith's musical heroes. Skid Row are sitting at Number 38 and John 5 is hanging in there at Number 72! This is a massive career highlight for Keith to be above these wonderful musicians and bands. Keith has been quoted as saying "Words cannot describe how proud and happy this has made me."
