Song Writing

I have 4 new songs that are so good, I can't believe I wrote them!! Thank you Lord for giving these to me. I can't wait to share them with the world! I haven't been able to put my guitar down. I'm going to record soon so I will upload when I can....

It's been a while....

Almost a year since I blogged last! Trust me, it's not because I'm super busy with a music career. It's more like I'm super busy with being a mom. I haven't yet figured out how to be a full time wife and mother and persue a music career. For me, I'm just trusting God with this one. I continue to look for oppertunites to Glorify him through music, but I'm not about to pack it up and move to Nashville. Not unless, of course, God told me too. For now, My husband has landed his dream Job, and I am very happy to see him flourishing in the things that he loves, and watching my babies grow. I will say that there's always this little hole inside me. A little gap that only my music can fill. I think all artists understand this one. It's probably from God, to keep you desiring the very thing you were born to do. I am seeking the Lord about what's next, and I'm very open to anything he would have me do, so if you are reading this, please pray for me to walk through the right doors as they come available. I have definitely dodged some wrong ones, so Praise God that he is revealing truths and stearing me in the right direction. Thank you for reading. Until Next time....

Purpose. Why I choose Christian Music.

"I grew up singing in church..." the famous last words of secular artists like Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, and many more. What happens when we grow up? Why is it that once we are grown we want to suddenley stop singing in church and persue something else, something better? Fame? Money? For some it's many different reasons, but for most it's the same: They want to be successful. But success is really in the eye of the beholder. I grew up singing in church, and I continue to sing in church, and I am persuing to sing outside of church as well. My success is messured by my obedience to God. God has a unique plan for us all, but as Christians, one thing we all have in common is a call to the lost and unsaved. To "go into all the world and preach the gospel". What ever your talents are, whatever God has planned for you to do, he has first commanded you to wittness. I feel so honored that I have the oppertunity to do it through my music. You know you love Jesus when you have to talk to him every day, when you have to talk about him to every one, when you have to write about him, to sing about him, when you think about him all the time. It's easy to lose focus when you live in a world that isn't focused on such things, but don't. You can influence your world for Christ no matter what your Job is ( Well, there may be a few exceptions). Let your light shine! Help me be a change agent. Whatever you do in life, let it Glorify God. Remember what you were ultimately created for, embrace it, and be successful in it!
