Homeless Hill / Blog

New Update

It's been a busy one for us, as we're starting to crank up again. Many of you may have noticed that we don't really have much on the calendar right now. We've taken some time off to work in our newest addition - guitarist Jonathan Foreman. In the process, we've revamped the show, written some new original material and are excited to get moving again! It's going to be a good year for Homeless Hill. Our first show of 2013 will be on our home turf - The Cox Capitol Theatre in Macon, opening for the national Zeppelin tribute band "Zoso." These guys rock, and really, we don't know of any better Zep tribute around! Looking forward to seeing everyone at our shows and creating new friendships. Thanks to our Homeless Homies for your support!

Rockin out at 37 Main, Buford, GA

What a show at the 37 Main on Wed, March 28. This place has tremendous sound and lighting. It's damn good to see a venue investing in their production. Really makes a difference.

We played a 45 minute, all-original set and had a hill of a time - met some great folks and made some new fans! Thanks to NY Nick for getting us in on Originals Night. We hope to play there again in the near future!

Darin on 13 WMAZ Weekend Morning

Hey everyone! This is Darin. Pulled an all-nighter - played The Hummingbird, and then stopped off at 13 WMAZ in Macon at 6am and played a couple tunes. Here's the link:

Comments on The Hummingbird Show in Macon, GA

Thanks so much to our loyal fans who came out to support us last night (March 23) at the best music venue in Macon, GA - The Hummingbird Stage and Taproom. What a great sounding room. Hats off to Mark, their soundman - who is really one of the coolest sound guys out there (in addition to knowing what the hell he is doing!). Grahams' Number from Atlanta, opened the show and they were incredible. Really rocked the house, and the crowd was very receptive. They have quite the eclectic mix, from reggae to psychedelic rock. We enjoyed listening to them, and such humble guys.

It was a good crowd - around 250 and we hit the stage around 11:45p, opening with Broken Bones. Included some of our crowd favorites - Ain't No Rest for The Wicked, and our very own version of Adele's Rolling in the Deep. We had the idea to start it out with the chorus - three part harmony, a capella - which sounds damn cool! Of course, all of our other originals - Oddball, Set It On Fire, They Don't Know, Invincible. All the HH faves. Played an encore at the end - which was great - we have such cool fans, and are very appreciative :)

Looking forward to our next gig this coming up Wednesday - at one of the coolest rock clubs in Atlanta, 37 Main. We'll be one of three bands for their originals night that is starting back up again. Special thanks to NY Nick for hooking us up! Check out our shows for directions and more info.

Return of the Hill
