Lust for Glory / Blog

A new year again...

Quite a year, 2013 was. Big thanks to the Rock the Nation radio show (Dr Stahl and Timmy Trash), the Morgue Anne podcast,Rocktober magazine, Steve Clayton, The Big Small, High Desert Hooligans and ALL of our new friends & fans. We did around 40 shows last year, and are looking to plat at LEAST that many again this year. So watch out- we're coming back through, whereEVER you are!! And new music is in store as well, so stay tuned...

How it goes...

If you missed our November show in Portland, you missed OUT!! Not only did Lance play, but Aaron also made made a long awaited return and we played a BLISTERINGLY awesome set. And that paved the way for many other mix-matched 'reunion' line ups to come in the near future. Perhaps even as soon as the January Gig Harbor show (hint, hint...) Recording still limps along. Shoulder injury, cold weather at Soniscope Studios and the standard litany of outside interference and conflicting side projects. SPEAKING of side-projects: 3LP has booked a long awaited 'triumphant return' show. December 6th, at the Knitting Factory with Smile Empty Soul and Spokane favs Evolved. So make sure to catch Sean onstage with 3LP for that. ALSO, Sean is excited to announce the reunion of "one my favorite writing partnerships" in the formation of a new Portland based rock band, 'Sherwood high', with old friends/high school classmates (and even first guitar mentor) George and Tim. In this incarnation Sean assumes the drum throne and 'Sherwood high' already writing & recording a pile of songs and plans to play a number of shows in the coming year, so watch for that in addition to what hopes to be a full calender of shows for Lust for Glory...

Shows a-happening, CD a-comin'...

Booking some shows, more on the way. Started recording of Blue Idle, (the next CD) . Stuffs happening. yay. Also, I still don't 'get' it, and I know it doesn't 'mean' anything, but we're at #22 on Reverbnation. Granted, I think yesterday we even hit 20 (seems odd and arbitrary), so that's a small bummer. But anyway- Hurray. #20 on the Spokane ROCK charts (a pretty deep and crowded field, I might add). Maybe if we had more 'likes'............*wink/nudge*

On the horizon...

Hey all! Working on some stuff that we'll post on later. But I will say that we're looking at booking a little week long, regional run of shows with some friends from Portland. This will probably be around Spring, but will post details as they develop, so stay tuned....

Raw Artist Showcase?

WAS this coming 23rd, but pushed back to Sept 27th (tentative). That is all I know right now.

Over....

LfG to play Spokane RAW Artist August Showcase

Should be a fun, albeit well dressed night :-) More details and direct event info as I get it, but here's a link http://www.rawartists.org/spokane/radiate

Damn- I need to hup to

After passively watching as we zipped up to 49 on the Spokane RN charts, it's trickled to 52, 56 and 57 over the week. Mmmm. Guess I need to get off my butt and get the Video of the Month up

Mmmm, dropped from 74?!

to 75. C'mon through people, check the tunes. Listen to some tunes, leave a comment, guess my weight, win a prize....

YAY 82

I do not fully understand Reverbnations ranking system, but not only has Lust for Glory be in the top 100 for the past couple weeks, but has even left the 90s to sit at #82 (as of today). To Celebrate- Leave a comment on or fan my Reverbnation page or 'like' the Facebook page (for LfG) between now and Sunday and I'll send you a free download for the 'Plastic Life EP' on Bandcamp (check it out here http://lustforglory.bandcamp.com/)
