The Big NEWS IS HERE!!
UNDERWHELMED SIGNS WITH PROBLEMATIC RECORDS
DECEMBER 2008 (NEW YORK, NY) – Problematic Records has signed the Brooklyn, NY rock band, Underwhelmed. Critics compare Underwhelmed to 3 Doors Down, Staind and Nickelback, saying Underwhelmed has "…big sound, big hooks and songs ready for radio…" Problematic Records President & CEO Jakob Bermann comments, "These guys are a hard-charging band with the musical goods necessary to have big success. We are very optimistic." CEO Bermann continues, "In addition, Underwhelmed is one of the best live acts I've seen in many years." Underwhelmed's debut LP "Reveal" is set for a February 3, 2009 release.
The LP was recorded at Spider Studios in Ohio, and produced by owner of Corporate Punishment Records Thom Hazaert (Chimaira, Switched). Ben Schigel (Chimaira, Switched, Drowning Pool, Breaking Point) handled the engineering and mixing duties. The first single "Angel" has already been garnering a lot of attention from media outlets and has seen its share of spins on both terrestrial and satellite radio. Both "Angel" and the follow-up "Freak (Like Me)" have been testing very positively and are already hits on internet radio.
Over the years, the Underwhelmed live show has been compared to The Doors meets early Pearl Jam - visually exciting, musically aggressive and vocally charismatic. The band has also been profiled and featured in Indietop10.com, GarageBand.com and various other media outlets.
Underwhelmed is the first major signing to the new Problematic label.
