Starting to finish...

So it's been a long hiatus but thank you to all who have remained interested in the music. The storm has passed and it is time to pick up and continue on to the finish line. Recording is back in full swing and as of now two new songs are near completion, leaving only four to go before this CD can be called complete. I'm looking to take advantage of the renewed drive and excitement so please help motivate me as I run down this home stretch! I believe the end result will be worth it to us all and can't wait to share the final product with the world!

Busy new year, little time

Sorry for the recent string of inactivity- been slammed with so many things at once I can't get a foothold on things. I HAVE been recording, albeit slowly and very little at a time but I hope to get something new up soon! Thank you all for your patience as I get situated in this new year!

Happy New Year!

So... two days into the new year. Does anyone feel different? Hopeful? Anxious? What's some of your goals for this year? I'm excited about the possibilities and if you are too hit me up! Always happy to support, talk shop, and discuss what could be on the horizon!

Closing it out

Hard to believe this year is just about gone. Started out with so many goals and great intentions toward reaching them but life has that funny way of throwing things off track. The CD did not get finished this year, but 3 songs are done at least and many other interesting opportunities arose instead. Lots of great shows this year, lots of steam. Hopefully will get something recorded in these next few weeks but if not next year will start with a fresh new goal. :) Happy holidays to everyone and see you next year!

Build you up, break you down

It's been a yo-yo ride the last few weeks. A battle of the bands that was painfully within reach but ultimately lost due to circustances out of my control. Heightened interest in my music but unable to land anything with submissions so far, even with a song I felt was a homerun. Stand up, dust off, try again? Accept the futility and change course? Give up? All interesting questions tonight.

Major movement

Things have been really picking up steam the last few weeks musically! A couple of high energy, well received shows followed by an invitation to play in Howard Hall's benefit show Friday September 28th and the Battle of the bands at the Launchpad October 7th! Wow! Also caught the attention of a prominent Nashville producer, though he did not see a hit yet. Hope to record a few more songs and send them his way. Maybe I'll get lucky. Anyway, hope to see everyone out on October 7th! I have tickets so hit me up and help me rule ABQ as the best "band" in town!

Looking back, pushing forward

Had a chance to look back at past work this week by taking a listen through of the last two CD efforts I personally recorded. Colorado Sessions marked my very first foray into home recording with by today's standards very limited equipment and certainly far less skill than I have today in terms of both a keen ear and overall instrument skill. Back by October marked my first experience working with a group of guys with different skillsets, opinions, and overall views on things. One instance I'm doing everything myself- I am my only critic and hindrance- and eight years later I'm just the recording engineer and drummer. All great experiences which have prepped me for my latest "All on my own" project. I am excited to see the change and growth. My what changes in 13 years!

July update!

New song finished, posted tonight and show tomorrow at old town!

Silence of late

I haven't posted much lately but that's because I'm busy trying to manage my time for one- always a chore! I AM recording, I've just reached that difficult point of writing and trying to record bass and drums- takes a lot more time and work than the other parts for me. Stay tuned- some new songs soon!

Until I get time

I've posted the rest of the tracks from my first EP "The Colorado Sessions" for those interested. Be gentle- they are 12 years old now. :) I've thought of remastering and even rewriting the album. What are your opinions? Would anyone like to see that happen and would you like to see songs available for sale? Comments and feedback are always appreciated! Until I get back from this out of town work, I hope these songs keep everybody happy!
