I've released several new singles over the past few months, including my seasonal song "Autumn Colors" and earlier, "Wise Direction" in honor of my Dad. Both of those will be part of my upcoming album which should be released in late December or early January. In addition I"ll be releasing a new Hanukkah Song, soon, so stay tuned for that! More good news, my bluegrass band No Part of Nothin' has resumed monthly Sunday shows at Outta the Way Cafe, the next show is Sunday, Dec. 10th. And I'll be part of a couple of other holiday shows, including a Derwood Christmas annual show at Outta the Way Cafe on Dec. 21st and the Songwriter's Association of Washington showcase at Hank Dietle's on Dec. 20th. More info on those shows coming soon in my calendar on this site. Finally, I recently learned that one of my Christmas songs, "Why I Love Christmas," is going to be featured in a holiday movie, more on that to come! My New EP: This Life, My Life!

In the last several years, I’ve ventured into working with other songwriters and this EP is a product of those collaborations. On four out of the five songs, I’ve had the privilege of working with some wonderful songwriters who have become good friends – Scott Free, who also produced the songs and Michelle Leverette, and extremely talented lyricist and melody writer. Both Michelle and Scott live across the country – Michelle is in Texas and Scott in Arizona – so this has also been a new venture into long distance collaborations! I also wrote one of the songs with another long distance friend, Terry Blackwell – a heck of a picker and songwriter!

Special thanks to Scott Free, who has not only produced and co-written on these songs, but has also been a great friend, mentor, and has always encouraged me when I’ve been down and always believed in me, and has put up with all my rambling and complaints ;). And Michelle Leverette, my other collaborator who has a magical way with words! Several of the songs on this EP have been signed to music publishers, so I’d like to give a special thanks to Michelle Lockey, who introduced me to the world of songwriting for film and TV, and who encouraged me to attend the Taxi Road Rally (an annual songwriter’s convention). It was through this rally that I met Michelle, Scott, Terry and many other talented songwriters/collaborators from all over the globe! Thanks to all of you!

Thanks to the musicians who contributed to this EP including bluegrass bandmates Jeff Karn, an amazing harmony singer and mandolin player, and Evan Sands a great banjo player who just knows how to have fun! Also Stephen Eckstrom, who provided some sweet harmonica stylings on “Daddy’s Hand” and Shayne Green who played a mean banjo and mando on One More Train Ride Home

My new EP, "This Life, My Life," is now available online! You can now get it on: iTunes:https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/this-life-my-life-ep/1358003831 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BC6YNDT and Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/14JPqy5ZNqJDG5j0oDGzUr

We've also got some gigs coming up, including the Potomac Grill on Oct. 25. Finally I look forward to performing at another Songwriters Showcase at Outta the Way Cafe on August 7th.

New Musical Adventures

So much has been happening in the last year..I joined a bluegrass band, Buck Stone and the Bucktones, just teamed up with fellow songwriter Michelle Lockey to form a duo called Michelle Michelle, and just got back from a Taxi Songwriters Road Rally and I'm now inspired to make some new recordings, write some new songs and start pitching them!

Michelle and I plan to start recording some songs together soon. Plus we are having our debut show, plus Michelle Lockey's CD Release party on Saturday, December 14th at Dickey's BBQ in Germantown MD. Should be a great night!
