Well, whatever it is, don't put your lips on it.
"Truck" is a tune that tells a true story. When we were wee Wilys, during a first semester at Eastern Kentucky University, a big news story in the region hit the papers. "Man served divorce papers runs coal truck through court house."
The details are a bit sketchy after all these years, but as I recall, it was the Corbin County courthouse. This fellow got served, got loaded, then drove his loaded coal truck (an uber dump truck) through the place he blamed for his pending divorce. So, we place ourselves in his shoes (boots) and the lyrics are from and about his perspective. Within but the first verse, he speaks to his wife as no man should, to any woman he'd hope to remain associated with. The long intro is this grand gentleman walking in the snow to fire up his truck.
One comment we've had on this tune regarding the NASCAR fan line is that we are poking fun at those such enthused. No,no! We simply paint his picture. Wily loves both NASCAR and watching football on the tube.
Towards the end of this tune, Special Guest Star, Angie Hotness can be heard to tell him to "get ya dump truck and move it on over." Angie, playing the wife role, will beat her husband to the court house. She'd really just like to beat this drunk poor sod.
The Whole World Corrects Me - The title says it all! Almost every other moment, of every day, we are all corrected. The spouse corrects you before you leave to work. The boss corrects you for being late. On the way home, someone's car horn corrects your driving. There are countless other examples one encounters everywhere, and every day..
