Just want to take a second to thank all the fans and friends that have continually supported us and our music over the years. For all the tickets, t-shirts cds and stickers you've bought. All the hits and likes on our social medias, and all the love of country music we have shared. We couldn't be where we are without all of you. thanks so much from me and all the B Sides!
Haven't blogged in a while but we are coming up on an important weekend so I thought I would. Its important to me for two reasons. It marks our countries independence and its also the weekend of the Carolina Music Awards. I have been nominated for Country Male. So go out this weekend catch a show, enjoy your independence, and wish us luck in the awards show
The new album will soon be released and it is country to the bone! We are shooting for early May! be on the lookout for dates and times of our cd release parties! We have worked hard and poured our heart and souls into this album. This may be our best work yet. I firmly believe we have finally slid into "our sound"! Hope you enjoy!
We are excited to say that we have the opportunity to perform on this years Waylon Bash down in Whiteface Texas. Waylon Jennings is one of our biggest influences and we feel honored to be part of a festival in his honor. We can't wait to show our stuff and prove we can live up to the Waylon standard!
I could use this time to bash the Grammy awards but I'm not. Instead lets celebrate those of us that weren't on there. Those of us doing our music day in and day out. Celebrate the writers that actually write songs that mean something and reach people and whatever level. Celebrate those artists that give their heart and soul to every performance even to an empty house. Those are the real winners! Go support a local, regional, or national act today and every day.
doing a lot of rehearsals for our new album these days. our last one Honky Tonk Till I Die is gonna be hard to top but I think we have a good shot at that with this one. real songs about real life and real people. keeping that twng and honk alive
The mainstream machine in country music has tried and tried to squash out what is left of legitimate country music to no avail. we aren't leaving. The harder they push the stronger we get.I for one refuse to lay down and die. Long live legitimate, honky tonk, neo-traditional, alt-country, pirates of the country scene.
its always hard to keep a band together. there is a lot more work involved than people realize. the best you can do is try to make them as happy as you can while they are with you. some will leave because you have to many gigs for their schedule and some will leave because you don't have enough. sometimes they just leave. the best you can do is stay focused and keep band members with you that have the same goals.
Lots of people claim to be honky tonkers and yet you never see them out supporting the real honky tonkers or listening to their albums. They're usually listening to the latest cookie cutter churn out Nashville has to offer about being a redneck or an outlaw! The true honky tonkers are the ones out there struglung to keep real country mysic alive in whatever venue they can. Support and be a real honky tonker!
Its my opinion that the right band members can make or break you. I have been very fortunate to have some of the best band members you could ask for! I know I can count on these guys for anything! If you want to ne successfull in this buisness pick guys you can trust that know how to be professional and still have a lot of fun doing it! Good luck!
