NEW ALBUM RELEASED! 'Welcome To The Real World'

So here we are! What a big year for us! 2012 was amazing journey and we are starting off 2013 with our brand new album release titled, ‘Welcome To The Real World’! We can’t express how thankful we are to all our friends and family for such amazing support. If people truly didn’t show interest in our music as much as they did, I don’t think this album would have been so exciting to make; thank you!

In early 2012, our band took the initiative to finally make our sound available for the world to hear. We did some research in the North Carolina area where to create this project and it was Worth Weaver at Red Room Recording that caught our eye. The work he does is phenomenal. We wanted a top quality album in which at the same time, captured the live feel of our shows. Worth did just that. He put countless hours into this project and Worth if you’re reading this; thank you!

It took months and months for preparation on this album. In studio, we took it one take at a time and nailed everything as the anticipation built towards our sound. If you notice, there are two songs on the new album that were on my previous album. My previous album was created only by myself. This time, it was a group effort. We believed the two repeated songs would serve more justice with the new treatment the full band has given it so we released these on the album as well.

Our album was an amazing process. We had so many things trying to hold us back from the release such as bad weather, sore throats, accidents on the way to studio, guitars not staying in tune, all of which we put behind us, overcame, and got back to business the next day. What you are now going to hear is the result of hard work while having fun, while taking a strong step in a direction we hope others will love.

A lot goes into creating an album. We take years to write songs, we take years to perfect the sound on beat, playing hundreds of shows for new ears to hear. We understand you don’t make an album and rise to the top. So for everyone out there who shares a love for music and knows how much dedication it really takes to move things in a serious direction, I know you can agree with us on how the music business is today by saying, “Welcome To the Real World”. Enjoy.

Much love and thanks once again for listening!

Album Release

There has been a lot of questions about when my album is officially going to drop, and to be honest, I am kicking myself because I didn’t realize what a process this was! Recording an album, isn’t just sitting down in studio and singing to a track, then releasing it. This is a project that has been taking me almost a year to get where I want everything. A lot of it has to do with me being pretty picky on how things look, how things sound etc. I wish I could explain how hard I have been working on this album. As an independent artist, I have built this from the bottom up, and it is right around the corner from being complete. Every track from my album is 100% originals. I built each song on my very own, from the drums and percussion, bass, piano, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals, vocal effects, editing and mixing, and to support local business, I have had my tracks mastered with a company in Nova Scotia, Canada. Not only has the recording process over the past year taken this long, but now we are into the design and artwork of the album. The people I am working with are amazing designers and I know their work will bring the true look of the album together. That being said, thank you for your patience as I am hoping the anticipation is worth the wait. I am hoping for a great response from fans and friends, because this whole album deals with the joys and hates of love, as well as the being absent from home for years.

My release is going to be a little different than the average album release. Let me try to explain how my album is going to be released to the public for download and purchase. Each song is going to be available one at a time through iTunes, releasing each new song from my album once a week until each track is available for purchase. When half of the songs have been released for purchase on iTunes, my full album will be available for purchase online at www.dylanholton.com. I am hoping you, the fans, will stay in touch with how I release each song, hoping each new song will draw you back the next week to look forward to what is next during the release process. When all is said and done, each song will be available for purchase through iTunes, as well as the album on iTunes and at dylanholton.com.

I am still working hard, in the mastering stage of my music, and design of the album. When this is complete, the release will be had and I truly hope you stay tuned for what I have been working on. I can promise you that those who have had a sneak peak of the songs I have created are impressed with my work, and I really hope you, the fans, will be too.

Thank you for reading another chapter through my journey,

Peace and love,

Dylan Holton
