Disctracted from York have taken the judging panel of the UK’s biggest original music competition by storm and is now just one good performance away from playing at London’s O2 in the Grand Final of Live and Unsigned which is part of Live Fest; London’s biggest indoor festival. They were voted by judges as one of the best in the Regional Final Showcase and now Disctracted will be competing against the most talented bands and artists in the country in the Area Finals. Disctracted were the youngest act to perform in the Regional final last Sunday 29th April 2012.
The judges feedback was amazing - Sounded and looked great together, singing was faultless. The cover was well chosen and entertaining. Good harmonies
Disctracted are sisters Emily and Danielle aged 13 and 11 and have been performing as Disctracted for around 2 years. Last year Disctracted got all the way through to the finals of Live and Unsigned at the O2 and are hoping to repeat the experience again this year. Disctracted are now one performance away from returning to the O2. Disctracted have also had previous success in the Open Mic UK competition where they have got through to the finals at the O2 two years running, where they came 3rd out of 10000 entrants.
Disctracted also came second in the national Festival 4 Stars competition and won the national Schools Got Talent competition representing Green Hammerton Primary School last year.
Disctracted came in the top 6 or their heat in Manchester last Sunday. They got calle dback on stage at the end for the "face off". Well done girls in the top 6 out of 24 and only 10 and 12 years old.
