FARLEY Heads to Austin, TX

FARLEY announces a move to Austin, TX

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the end of FARLEY in Pennsylvania. After many years of performing, recording albums, and playing with the best musicians in this area, Tim Farley has decided to take his talents to the stages and recording studios of Austin, TX. This is a tremendous opportunity that has been many years in the making and Tim and his family are very excited about what is to come in this next chapter of his music career!

The band Farley will be finishing out our various shows here in PA until the end of May in what we are calling the “Farewell Farley Tour”. All of our shows are free admission and most are open to the public.

We hope you will join us as we say goodbye to all of the fans, friends, and family we have made over these great years, and celebrate some of the very best music this area has produced. We would never have gotten as far as we have without the love and support of so many people and establishments in our local community and all across PA. It is because of you that this music scene will continue to be vibrant for many years to come.

Although we are sad to see this project come to an end we also recognize that every end is a new beginning, and the future has never looked brighter.

We hope to see you all very soon!

All our love,

~FARLEY

Press Release - Ireland Tour

UNDERGROUND SAINTS, FARLEY TO PERFORM IN IRELAND

Northeastern Pennsylvania will export some musical talent to Ireland in July, when area bands Underground Saints and Farley will perform several shows on the Emerald Isle, including sets at a week-long festival that draws more than 200,000 people annually.

Both groups have been invited to perform at the Ballina Salmon Festival and will also play several club dates during their visit.

The Ballina Salmon Festival will be held from July 8-15 in the County Mayo town of Ballina, which is Scranton’s sister city. Underground Saints and Farley guitarist Pat Flynn has previously visited relatives in Ballina and mailed CDs of both bands to his cousin Margaret Popplewell, who introduced the music to Irish radio programmers. The response has been extremely positive, with songs being played in regular rotation on the Irish station Midwest Radio for the past few months.

“It’s truly a dream come true as a musician to play in Ireland and even more so in the Ballina area considering my families direct ancestral ties to this particularly beautiful area of the country,” Flynn said of the opportunity to perform in Ireland. “I ultimately want this trip to not only strengthen the bond between Scranton and Ballina as sister cities but also the bond with the entire Wyoming Valley as well and want to continue this exchange of outstanding talent between both Ireland and our area in the future. It is a great story and journey bridging some echoes of the past with our own music and will be honestly and vividly portrayed in the upcoming film and soundtrack.”

Filmmaker Mark Dennebaum and crew of Scranton-based TwentyFiveEight Productions will also make the trip and capture the experience for an upcoming documentary film which he hopes to screen on the film festival circuit. Flynn added that Underground Saints and Farley plan to add two new songs to the project.

Underground Saints released their debut album “Broken Machines” in 2010 and plan to begin work on a new record soon. The band features John Smith (vocals, guitar), Pat Flynn (guitar, vocals), Mark Kiesinger (bass) and A.J. Jump (drums). (Find Underground Saints on Facebook)

Farley, a band led by former Panacea frontman Tim Farley, released a debut EP “A Good Problem To Have” last year and are currently working on its first full-length album. In addition to Tim Farley (vocals, guitars), the Farley band lineup for the Irish shows will feature Pat Flynn (guitar, vocals), Mark Kiesinger (bass), Pat Finnerty (guitar, vocals) and A.J. Jump (drums). (Visitwww.FarleyMusic.com)

FARLEY album update 5/14/12

Hello all!

We just wanted to touch base with you regarding the project. Now that we have the funding, we are currently in the studio recording the album and working on a new design for the T-shirts, hats, etc. The album is coming along very nicely and is going to be fantastic when we're done.

We have added a few people to the team to make the record bigger and better than the first one. Bret Alexander is still producing the album and we're still doing the primary recording at A Street Studios, but now Mr. David Goodermuth has joined the project as the Head Engineer. Dave has many years of experience in the industry and brings a very unique sense of sound recording to the project. We are very happy to have him aboard.

We've also decided to team up with William Kennedy who is a platinum-selling producer/mixer/engineer from L.A. William has worked with such artists such as O.A.R. (Atlantic Records), Michael Paynter (SONY Australia), The 88 (NBC/Universal), Cheap Trick, and many more. We are very pleased that William has agreed to come on board as our mixing engineer for this album.

Once the main recordings are finished we will be sending them out to L.A. to be mixed by William at Studio P and mastered at another location (as of yet undecided).

I'll keep giving you updates on everything as we go. Until then...

~FARLEY

PS: We're also going to be announcing something VERY BIG and VERY EXCITING in the coming days. Stay tuned!

Kickstarter Goal Reached

We are so pleased to announce that with the help of some very generous supporters we have not only reached our goal, but we have surpassed it by oner $1,000.00! We cannot express how much this means to us. We are currently in the studio recording the record and will have it out to you as soon as possible. There are also some other big things in the works for FARLEY that we are very excited about. Stay tuned... ~FARLEY

Kickstarter Campaign

We are working on our next album for release this summer and we are raising funds for it through Kickstarter. We are now 88% of the way to our fundraising goal! We just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that has supported this new album so far! We are SO close to our goal and we only need a few more donors to make it. We have until April 30th to reach our goal, and with your help we'll get there. Visit http://www.farleymusic.com to link to our Kickstarter page and make a pledge of support! THANKS AGAIN! ~FARLEY

BACK FROM L.A.

Well, we just got back from L.A. and we are in need of some sleep. What a fantastic trip. Played a show at The Rack to a very enthusiastic crowd, cruised all over the city and saw the sites, ate great food and had even better conversation. Overall, an amazing time. Big thanks to Lauren Farley and Jeff Fedorowicz for everything. We'll be back soon.
