When I think of Jesus coming out of the tomb, I think of this silly question- did it smell in there after he had been dead so long? Then I think of the transformation, of the new heavenly perfect body God gave him when he was resurrected from the grave, and I think of the sweet aroma that must have filled the tomb. I wonder if Mary smelled it when she met him? Jesus' presence brings us a sweet aroma. Thus, the Easter Lilly, in memory, of the beautiful sweet presence of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I am so glad he is so forgiving and loving, aren't you? Wow, the sweet aroma of our Lord, we can think of this when we smell the Easter Lilly! :) Matthew 28! He is not dead, Jesus is alive! :)

Patience comes when we let go of our own wants and drive, and we give it to the Lord for his timing and his way. Patience involves maturity, to know when to let things rest and when to move forward. Patience is a learned trait, from the wise. Psalm 40:1-3

What is Joy and where does it come from?

Joy is a happiness and uplifting energy that springs from the well of our soul! It is put there by the Lord God of Heaven and Earth, when we surrender our lives to Him. The Joy that Jesus gives is like a spring overflowing, deep from the roots of the heart and laughter comes from the gut! It is better than any medicine!

Jesus love is Unconditional. We gotta try to do it like that, but within the law, and we have to be assertive in setting boundaries. :)

What is Faith?

Faith is believing in the unseen, based on God's promises. Faith is tapping God's never ending supply of power for your life and the lives of those you are in contact with.

When the Helper Comes

When we have the Spirit of Christ in us, we can not be silent. We have to spread the good news - the gospel message. John 3:15,16

What is Salvation?

Salvation involves saving one from impending doom. It involves hope, love, and faith in another, as well as mercy and grace on the part of the one doing the saving. It is an act of mercy for sure, and kindness. Grace is given when we didn't earn it. Mercy is given from the heart. I like to say I am saved by God's grace- something I did not earn at all, but asked for. Salvation is a gift God gives, and I am thankful. Isaiah 53:6, John 3:15,16,17, Romans 8:28, Romans 3:23.

The art of listening and reflection brings peace

Learning the art of listening and reflection inspires peace in others and brings clarity to conversation. A caring thought or action for another brings love to life and meaning to a chaotic world. "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He first loved us, and gave His son as a ransom for many!" - Bible A preacher today told us it is okay to put on your own O2 mask on the plane first, so you can help others. funny, I thought it was others first, but there came a peace in knowing it is okay to want to breathe and live. Yes, the art of living is enjoyable, however, and rewarding, only when you help others on the journey!

August reflections

This is the season I get melancholy as I feel the warm summer's humid days continuing, and as the school year is about to begin. As my college sons are about to begin the journey of academic excellence again, and as my girls get prepared for more studies, I get in gear for my own social agenda of teaching music and science classes for community, and writing songs and performance with "reaching out". Company and fellowship with ladies and all the arts are so important to me, and I love cell groups. I think all ages bless me, and all types of family in general.

Summers Sensations

As I stand on the porch and look at the lovely grass and flowers, and hear the birds chirp, and as I see the red cardinal dart past and the hummingbird sip the nectar in front of me, I think how blessed I am to feel emotion.
