New song "It's All Coming Back to Me Now"

I have posted a new song on my site. Here's the back story: In 1999 I had the "pleasure" of driving my daughter Charlotte's carpool. Three teenage girls. I drove them to LACHSA, (Los Angeles County High School for the Performing Arts.) Only now, ten years later, have I been able to put that experience into words. This song goes out to anyone currently driving a teenage carpool. By the way, the amazing Shaun Cromwell (www.shauncromwell.com) is accompanying me on this recording. We recorded it at Randy Tobin's studio --(www.thetamediagroup.com).

Recent "Kulak's Woodshed" Show

My group and I played Kulak's (www.kulakswoodshed.com) on Saturday night, Jan 12, 2008. It was a "Tracy Newman and Friends" night. The Reinforcements and I opened the show. Then came the dazzling Shaun Cromwell (don't let me get started) followed by wonderful songwriter/performer, Stephen Bishop. I didn't really personally know Stephen, but remembered him as the guy playing guitar and singing on the stairs in "Animal House." And of course, from his hit record "On and On." He was great. For one song, he played an instrument I've never seen before called a Q-chord. I looked it up after the show and it's a Suzuki Digital Songcard guitar. Pretty impressive. Of course, a lot has to do with the way you program it, and Stephen had it sounding like a full orchestra. The whole show was terrific and very well received, plus I think we raised some significant money for Kulak's which exists entirely through donations. You didn't think I was going to end this without saying how incredible Shaun Cromwell was, did you? (www.cdbaby.com/shauncromwell) Do yourself a favor.
