You know that lift you feel after a great band practice? Yeah. That was last night. Very cool.
My morning, or afternoon, as of now, consists of eating Honey Nut Cheerios, which are my favorite, and sipping some slightly burnt coffee.
What was I doing up all night? Oh, well, I don't know... you can tell me. Being the creative monster I am, I thought of a poem about three in the morning, finally had dinner before then around 11:30, and my dog, Grace, (1 of three dogs) was a bit peeved that I was awake so long trying to sort out my music.
I like this life. It never stays the same ;)
Summer time and living is... easy? I'm not so sure about that one. With everyone trying to get their foot in the door in the music scene, the summer can be pretty downtrodden some days.
What keeps me going is the glorious ability to laugh, and laugh a lot. Flowers are nice... nature is nice, and of course, family and friends... but the booze helps, too :)
We've played with many people, one band recently called Crown Royal, and they're playing at Durty Nellie's. They are an awesome group of people and the guitarist, Rich, is a prodigy.
Gotta keep enjoying and sharing with those fellow musicians and things will all start to fall into place.
How do YOU deal with road blocks in your music?
Our album is now available on iTunes and CD BABY! Enjoy.
We're done with Wheels of Time! It was a long ride: lots of doubt, lots of confidence, lots of hilarity, and sometimes so annoying that we almost threw the thing away. But after we all lost our heads, the album magically appeared! No magic. We just didn't sleep for about a month to get everything done.
But we're finished, So enjoy.
Whats up people?
Stay tuned for the up-comming release of "Somethin In The Night". This will be Patty D & The Mystery's debut album featuring 13 original tunes. Should be out this summer.
