January 2013 GTH Update

Hey everybody, this is Paul from Ghost Town Hangmen. Just wanted to post an update about all things Ghost Town as we've had a lot of people inquiring about what we've been up to all winter as we haven't been on the road as much.

To answer your questions we've been enjoying some much needed down time after our monster tour over the summer of 2012. Took some time to recharge our batteries and write some new music.

We have a lot in store for 2013 and we start recording our brand new 6 song EP in late February and are shooting to have it released in late April/early May as well as a CD release show. We have Northern California shows in the works from March on after we wrap up in the recording studio as well as shooting music videos in promotion of the new EP this year.

We also will be venturing out on a 2 week tour in the Pacific Northwest with our good pals Hard Fall Hearts(San Diego) and The Infamous Swanks(Sacramento)! We're definitely looking forward to some memorable times on the road with these two rocking bands! If you've never heard them you should check them out!

2013 is going to be a busy year for us and we have a lot in the works to share with you all in the coming months! We'll update our web pages with video blogs from the studio and sneak peeks of new tunes and show updates.

As always thank you all for your support and we can't wait to share the new EP with you all soon! See you at the shows!

Shoes, shows, and drive-by shootings!

Hello Ghost Town fans, this is Paul writing our first of many entries in our blog section to keep you in the loop and up to date on all things Ghost Town Hangmen. As we are closing in on the end of the last week of summer we look back at all the fun times we've had and all the stuff we've accomplished this spring/summer since we've decided to go for broke and take our act on the road. We've scored a killer endorsement deal with T.U.K. Shoes which we are quite proud of, we've had the priveledge of sharing some killer shows with some awesome bands including: Koffin Kats,Reverend Horton Heat,Swingin' Utters, Dead Kennedy's, and Eddie Spaghetti from The Supersuckers. We've taken our act as far North as the Seattle area and as far South as San Diego and have played some killer venues, met some amazing bands, and made some awesome new friends we look forward to seeing with each road trip. There are plenty of good stories, and twice as many bad ones but it's all a part of chasing after a dream and spreading our music out to as many people as possible. We suffer for our art even to the point of almost getting ourselves killed doing it.... Friday September 17th is a day we wont be forgetting anytime soon in the GTH crew as it is the night we almost got killed in a drive-by shooting playing the Mutiny bar in Antioch,Ca. No real reason we understand as to why someone would want to shoot up the front of a bar but it happened and I was shot in the leg with a .40 Caliber round. Luckily for me it was a ricochet or it would have done some serious damage but it still was the equivalent of getting hit in the leg with a metal baseball bat at quite a high speed. The leg will heal and the ER bills will get paid but my oh my was that one of the scariest nights of our lives and that of our brother band The Infamous Swanks who were in the bar with us. I'm just glad nobody was seriously injured or killed in this incident. Lot's of big stuff coming up in the coming months including new music videos, loads of new guys and gals merch(shirts, womens beater tops, buttons, womens hair clips, and hoodies!), a West Coast tour in November with our boys in The Infamous Swanks, and another run in December with Tony T. and The Pendletons! Keep your eyes and your ears peeled for all we have in store for you!
