busy few weeks

It's been an interesting few weeks. I've been asked to place my song IF YOU GO TO HEAVEN on a compilation cd. The disc will get national exposure by being sold on all the on line download sites such as ITunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, etc., as well as being sent to college and internet radio stations. I've also been contacted about I PROMISE being considered for awards through the Independent Music Awards. I was in the studio to re-do HEAVEN for release on the cd.

Another event I did was to have professional pictures taken for the bio I need to send in for the cd. I've posted the better ones for all to see. The default picture I had done in b&w but, for some reason, they didn't put that one on the cd. Just the color one. Still a good pic, but the b&w is by far the best.

All in all, it's been a busy few weeks. Hope you like the pics. As always, thank you so much for your interest in my words, music and adventures. Your support is so greatly appreciated.

Recording sessions

Since the beginning of November, I've been going to the studio to do a demo of five songs to send to Nashville to an artist development company that has shown interest in a couple of my songs for pitching to artist's. The five I'm doing are IF YOU GO TO HEAVEN, I PROMISE (COMING SOON TO MY PLAYER), THERE'S BEEN A TIME, ALWAYS KISS ME GOODNIGHT, AND IN THE NAME OF LOVE. Heaven, There's, and Name of Love, are rough mixes of the soon to be mastered work I've done. I go in the studio to master them in January. Once the songs are mastered, and I have my copy of the cd, I'll be posting those songs on here replacing the one's now up.

Also, I've added some songs to an internet radio called IMRadio. They've been playing on a regular basis under either the folk or acoustic genre. Please give all the artist's on there a listen to. A lot of great stuff. Go to imradio.com to access the station.

I appreciate everyone who stops by to listen to my songs, and if you have any comments, please, by all means, drop me a line. Would love to hear what you have to say. Good, bad, or indifferent. All comments are important!

I've also found that, all the players I use for my songs on various sites, are pretty good quality except the one on my space. I don't know why their sound is of such a lower quality, but it is. I know my current recordings are not of broadcast quality, but, for the most part, they sound good here and other places, so the only deduction I can come up with is the player. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for listening and reading. I appreciate your time and consideration. There's a LOT of great music out there to be heard, so I'm very honored to have you stop by and listen. Thank you. Mark

radio play

Just a note to say WHEN I SIT AT HOME ALONE was played on Emma Cherry's unsigned radio show Monday night. I had submitted three songs for consideration for air play, and Ms. Cherry said she had reviewed them and added them to her play list. I was listen on my computer and at 353 my time, she played WHEN I. Needless to say, I was so thrilled and excited. where this may lead, if anywhere, is yet to be seen. Maybe she'll play one of the other submissions on this coming Monday's show. The time is 8-10 London time, so give it a listen. Music is from artists around the world.
