TERRORWAY: rumors about new album
The modern death metal band is currently engaged in the final steps of mixing of their debut album at the prestigious JBO Sound of Jacob Olsen in Denmark.
"Blackwaters", thats the name chosen for the new album, sees the band struggling with a death metal that combines spasms typical of the more elaborate and asymmetrical death together with modern elements, giving as a result a concentrate of pure violence and energy.
About their work the band says:"...This time we tried to take better care of the groove, we can say that this album sounds 'dirtier' than "Absolute", moreover we are sure that many of our fans will be positively surprised by some of our stylstics choices..."

Terrorway signed a deal with the French label M&O Music Records

Terrorway review - Absolute [ep] @ Truemetal a cura di Francesco 'Darkshine' Sorricaro.
Eccellente! Questo è l’aggettivo più giusto per l’EP di esordio dei thrasher sardi Terrorway. Absolute è un lavoro che sembra uscito da uno di quegli studi di registrazione a cinque stelle che tutti i musicisti sognano di vedere almeno una volta nella vita. Cinque brani aggressivi, moderni, imprevedibili che vi stupiranno per perizia tecnica ma ancor di più per il sapore internazionale che possiedono: merce rarissima per una band ai primi passi. Le influenze dei Terrorway sono molteplici, per una band in possesso di un sound che è davvero difficile catalogare con un'unica definizione. Thrash, industrial, alternative, prog, death, sono tutti appellativi che vengono in mente qua e là, durante l'ascolto di brani come Art of discernment o Substance of the way. La caratteristica sintomatica della band di San Gavino Monreale è sicuramente un groove pazzesco, che coinvolge ogni più nascosto viscere del corpo ad andare dietro a ritmiche sobbalzanti, sinuose, governate dal corposo basso di Giovanni Serra e dal drumming modello Fear Factory di Cosma Secchi: le due anime prominenti, anche a livello sonoro, su tutto il resto. Sonorità cupe e cariche di pathos richiamano maestri come Tool e Deftones (ascoltare, per credere, il cantato di Anselmo 'Memo' Mascia in Survivalist istinct) mentre le strutture più intricate di brani più violenti, come l'opener Her last breath oThreshold of pain, sembrano derivare direttamente dagli spartiti di gente come Meshuggah, Gojira, Strapping Young Lad e, in parte, Opeth. Tutto questo è la concretizzazione di un EP sanguigno, carico di buone idee messe su disco con grande professionalità e cura dei particolari. Absolute è un'autoproduzione che si fa fatica ad immaginare senza un pronto seguito su full-lenght; è un disco che si divora e ti divora, che non lascia il tempo di annoiarsi, che faticherà ad uscire dal vostro stereo; è un continuo turbine di note, nel quale si inerpicano i riff di Ivan Fois e al voce puntuale, evocativa ed abrasiva quando serve, di Mascia.
Assolutamente consigliato a tutti gli amanti dei suoni più energici e a chi ama farsi stupire. Percorrete con fiducia la "via del terrore"....

Terrorway is an Italian band founded in 2009 and this is their debut EP, a 5 tracks work totaling 23 minutes of modern aggressive metal how they call it, and I have to agree with that labelling. The recording has a modern sound, very polished and making full use of the technical capabilities of a good studio. Their music, beside being aggressive and modern is progressive-oriented too, so by naming Messhuggah as one of the bands strongly influencing Terrorway's music you won't be wrong. I have to mention here the good technical abilities for the instrumentists and the vocalist who, although not being very versatile, uses many "tricks" to keep his parts interesting and not monotone. I'm very pleased with this band's potential and I can only recommend you their debut EP for a taste of what they can do. Great debut EP, get it! Reviewed by Adrian
