Very good news this week: We will be playing at Wormtown 2012 on the Riverworm Stage at 6:30 PM on Saturday, September 15. We will have tickets soon! Also, the Strangecreek set is up on archive.org with a few of the highlights posted on this site.
Be sure to catch us tomorrow night in Salem, MA at the Howling Wolf taqueria! See you all there!
Wow, Strangecreek was a fucking blast. And if that wasn't enough, we were mentioned in Headstash.com in their StrangeCreek review! Check it out:
Also keep checking back for Strangecreek 10 sets at Archive.org:
OK that's it for now! Way to go everybody!
Just got our StrangeCreek tickets in the mail for the advance ticket price of $95. They will remain $95 from us up until the Creek, and they are typically $120 ish at the gate, so keep that in mind.
We will be selling them at our open mic Jam Tuesday at Spotlight in Beverly, which is our only gig again this week as we continue to prepare for our huge Otis Grove show on 3/23 at Spotlight.
Big show this weekend for Kung Fu and People with Instruments at the Spear Post in Beverly on Saturday (St. Patrick's Day) if you're looking for something to do.
Hello there fans. We don't have a show until March 23, but it's going to be a hell of a show (w/ Otis Grove) so we're spending the next couple weeks preparing.
However, we will be playing every Tuesday night at Spotlight, running the open jam, so you can still get your fix until then.
Also, we have some new web sites to check out: http://www.myspace.com/ourownworldband
just for the sake of completeness.
We have three shows next week, starting with open mic Tuesday at Spotlight on 2/21/12, then the Bar Room in Boston on Thursday, and finally the Spotlight 1 year anniversary party with Mother Ton and Banjo Goiter on Saturday.
And if that wasn't enough, we have our best of live album, with all the best tracks from Reverbnation, Archive.org and beyond in one place.
And if THAT wasn't enough, our very first studio demo is finally finally finished, thanks to the efforts of DJ Johnson and his class at NEIA.
Both CD's will be available, for free at any of our shows. Also, we should have a downloadable version of the demo up Saturday night.
Ok that's all for now. Go back to your own world.
Thanks to the efforts of several of our fans, Sam Hill, Brandon and Debbie Ryder, and Todd to name a few, we now have a dedicated archive.org page at:
There are three shows up right now, and more will follow as we track down the original files.
Just to let everyone know, we have plenty of Wormtown tickets left. It's only a week away, though, so get on it! Also look at the new merch on http://www.zazzle.com/ourownworld when you get a chance. That's all. See you tonight at Kitty's!
Everything has been updated, from the logo (thanks to 99designs.com and gimasra) to the songs to the band bio.
We've been asked to play the Wormtown Music Festival and will have tickets for sale at our upcoming shows for $90.00 each. We also have ticket to our upcoming Middle East Downstairs show on August 25, 2011 for $8.00.
We just put out a live CD, the tracks of which appear on this site. They had to be compressed beyond reason to fit, so if you want a better version come see us and we'll give you the CD for free.
