Bands, Dj's and Musicians Needed for digital compilation.

Hi, I hope all is well. This is Johnny Virum (formerly Bubba Grimm of The Shadows Smile) from Virus Cycle. I am currently working on a digital-only release compilation of underground Goth and Industrial artists. The compilation, along with its artwork, will be promoted through its own media (FreeWebs, Last F.M., Reverbnation, Facebook, etc.), by the individual artists/band featured on the compilation, and will be available to download for free online (please note that each artist/band reserve their rights of the songs they contribute to this compilation). I believe this compilation will be a great way to bring together our local scenes and fans from around the world and will also broaden our fan bases. I recently released a digital-only album last month titled “Alice in Zombieland” and it’s doing great. The album has been downloaded and listened to by fans from all over the world! This compilation will only cost each artist/band $3.00 US to put themselves on it. All of the money generated will go to producing stickers to publicize the release of the compilation. If you are local or you send me a self-addressed stamped envelope (with proper postage), I will be able to provide you with stickers as soon as they are delivered. Let me know what you think and we can start to grease the wheels on this project. You may contact me at viruscycle@gmail.com

Thanx, Virum

Press Release 3/7/2011

For Immediate Release

First, I want to thank everyone who have supported Virus Cycle and have listened to and/or downloaded “Alice in Zombieland" over the past two weeks. People all over the world have downloaded the new album and visited Virus Cycle’s website since the release on February 23, 2011, which is making it an international success. If you don’t have your copy yet, go to the “Music” page at www.viruscycle.info for very easy directions. This past weekend, I have been in touch with different radio stations all over the world and have received confirmation that tracks from “Alice in Zombieland” will be or are currently added to their playlists and mixes. There will be more news to come, as well as other surprises, in the following weeks, and Virus Cycle will make sure to inform his listeners as soon as possible.

I have been asked about if and when I will start booking/performing live shows. I will not be taking or booking shows til Summer 2011. There is still much to be done in the promotional aspects of this project. With that said, I am currently looking for a DJ or a person with a reliable laptop to run drum tracks and other samples during the live show. I am also considering looking for a guitarist who is a quick learner, can practice most of the time to pre-programmed drums on their own, and also practice together once a week. If you think you would be a good fit and would like to get involved, please email Johnny Virum at viruscycle@gmail.com

Thanks again to the DJ’s, radio stations, and all the other listeners for your support.

Yours in death,

Johnny Virum
